Two Poems for "Thursday Prompt"
Poem 1) Furry
Ears, tails
fluffs of fur
cotton tail rings
worlds a blur
within grassy fields
or oceans blue
for a brief respite
I connect with you.
Friends, one and all
lend me ears, tails, and bodies ten feet tall.
Escaping the hour glass
the drudgery
bonds hammered, forged, welded
for eternity.
In furry.
Poem 2) Cliff-Side Drama
Folds of her ear said serious
in truth, perhaps delirious.
Fur patch on dog brown
oozy, gooey life
dripping down.
Endless river babbling
from muzzle
wrinkled in pain or laughing
to tell was struggle.
Smoking, burning ruin
at worlds edge
Crews running
panicking, to resurrect the dead.
