Instead of wasting time to patch it and reinflate it, it was easier to get out the spare raft and get it ready to go.
Where as the patches for the blue raft were emergency patches that could be slapped on, and that gash the sword left behind was bigger than they could patch it when they were zooming off down the river. Now that it shrunk back to the regular size they could have patched it...but cartoon logic. Not thinking of it at the time.
