My personal favorite is when it forces you to update by INVENTING some new weird bug. Like this one time when the "Open a new tab" button just stopped working for no reason and I couldn't fix it any other way.
And in regards to a somewhat recent update: Swapping the locations of the "Open Link in New Tab" and "Open Link in New Window" buttons? Really?

Well, if you consider the Registry a pool of sorts, then yeah, he kinda *is*. At least it isn't like some programs I have dealt with... all I can describe them as doing is taking great whacking huge DUMPS in the Registry, that even after cleaning things up, I'm still seeing little nuggets from the damn program months, even years later, in the damndest places! (Why do I have a registry key from that image editor in a folder for my text editor?!)
Registry p***ing... you'd think software developers thought our computers were into watersports!

THIS IS SO TRUE! Every update this happens to me at work. No choice but to update. And Ill have a bunch of windows open Im working on that I cannot close. Plus it then tells you that you will need to reboot to update. Im running a test server that I cannot reboot during work hours. SOOOO annoying.
The bane of all software development: changing things just for the sake of changing things (and making Google happy).
Don't get me started about Unity, the new GUI for Ubuntu Linux. Hey, let's do what nobody asked for and make a desktop work like a tablet!
I want my Amiga and the 90's back. :(
