And prior to getting Devers from the Boston Red Sox (who are 17-9 since the Devers trade), the Giants sat just one game under the LA Dodgers for first place in the National League West.

They now sit in fourth place tied with the Arizona Diamondbacks and are now 5 games behind the third Wild Card spot which is occupied by the New York Mets.

This is one of the biggest collapses to a season in 40 years by any team in Major League Baseball.
