"not lucky enough" august 22 incident, 2019
the 22nd of august was a rather ordinary day for MARRS, that day a long range tourist train was setted up, ready to tour out hundreds if not thousands of clients and visitor around town, but the driver of the train 16729 wasnt aware of a motorhom having a blown tire on the track, eventually the gates lowered, the driver could heard the incoming train's horn, eventually after a blind spot curve not too far away from the crossing, the train driver threw the full thing in emergency, shaking up many peoples in the train being pulled, many fell, many were thrown around, eventually the train came to a stop... but not quickly enough the train threw the motorhome on its side, causing more damage, even causing a slight derailment of the lead unit
there was no deaths
about 48 peoples were injured lightly
7 got major injuries onboard
its rare for MARRS to get an accident, but when it happens, MARRS has a policy for those reasons
"if a passenger gets injured for any reasons onboard, since it was our responsibility to keep the passengers safe, if we fail it, we must pay for any injuries that the trip may have caused"
around 361 thousand were paid for medical coverage and property damage, including damaged equipment
lucky enough to have no death
not lucky enough to cause no accident
