Reuploading my journal here so that everyone is aware of what is going on
Hello
Today someone told me that a person has made a profile on Telegram using my pfp, bio and using a username nearly identical to mine
I've already made a post over BlueSky, Twitter, my Telegram channel and my Discord server
But it's important to notify you all as well since the YCH auctions are being held on this website
Essentially someone is trying to contact those who are bidding on the YCHs and other people while trying to pass as me and get paid for commissions
This is a scammer plain and simple
My username will always be TripleCorne with a lowercase l (L) and not an uppercase I (i)
If you are trying to contact me for something:
- Use the notes system here to reach
- Send a DM to my Bluesky https://bsky.app/profile/triplecorne.bsky.social
- Send a DM to my Discord username : triplecorne (no uppercases)
- Or make sure the Telegram account you're reaching out to is premium and doesn't have an uppercase I to mimic my username
I will think of a few more failsafes but if you're gonna bid on my YCHs, I will ALWAYS send you a note on FurAffinity when you've won a YCH, it's through the notes that we'll establish first contact, not through Telegram or any other platform (unless you're a recuring customer, in that case we've already established contact)
This is stressing me out quite a lot
Please remain safe
Keep an eye open for tells that someone is a copycat
Update 17th august 2024 : I was told they've started using the username "TripIeCorne" on Discord as well, please be careful if someone reaches out to you on Discord too!
I am in the process of taking legal actions on my side of things, signaling to authorities here of the impersonation and hopefully getting help from them
