Recently I saw this cool dragon pic and was inspired to make a new sculpure:

The plan is to have him stand up by his tail, so it looks like he's floating. The arms/legs/wings will be sculped and added separately. But now that he's this far, I'm wondering if I should keep the orb, or ditch it and just make it look like he's hovering by himself. Thoughts?
