Tenacity 10/365: Volume & shading practice + gradient maps
I originally started to make my own first fursona, but in the process I realized that I have a desire to understand volume better.
Then I started practicing - here is final result!
That cylinder looks so goofy, but I overcame my perfectionism and moved on.
I actually wanted to take a second try at drawing okay-ish cylinder + wanted to draw another cube with more complex shadows, but today I felt that creeping sense of imminent burnout, so I decided to take it easy to not mess up with my natural drawing flow.
You can notice that it doesn't have cast shadows and horizon line - that's because my brain was already overwhelmed by trying to understand how volume, perspective and shading connect with each other. But that's no big deal - I can always take it step further next time!
