Tonight I give you my brainchild, The Runner. Inspired by none other than The Matrix. This particular Runner is called, Styx. And no, its not a lion or cheetah, just a strange amorphous thing that's taken on a cat-like appearance. Because I said. Anyway, species info. Oh yeah, my creation = do not make one for yourself thnkx.
Pretty simple, ne?
Classification: Runner
Original Program: pgdatarunner.exe
Program Type: Artificially Intelligent Matrix Data Transfer
Current Status: Rogue A.I. Matrix program
Threat: Mininmal/Non-existant
Information:
Runners are polymatrix freeform data. They have no true shape, gender, etc. They live within the data streams of computers, traveling through the internet and various other means of data transport. Runners are given the name because the first one to be "created" was actually an A.I. program called, pgdatarunner, which stood for Polygraphic Data Runner. Originally a smart program intended to better transfer life forms through the Matrix into the fabricated world and the real one. It was a failure when the program itself became more "intellegent" and began to create duplicates of itself. Thus, the Runners were "born". Though it causes no threat to humans or interfers with travel through the Matrix, Runners have been known to assist in data retrieval and also act as go-betweens. If a programmer or hacker is skilled enough, the creation of the rogue program can be "tamed" and used at will for any purpose needed within the Matrix and/or cyberspace.
