Sanyu was always viewed as mentally unstable around other cats, but he didn’t mind it, and even relished in the fact that so many feared him for his insanity. No one knows if he was sane at any point in his life before becoming a vampire. His happy and goofy personality scored him a role as a circus clown for three years before he unexpectedly showed up to work one day on the verge of vampirism, attacking his colleagues and many guests on the grounds. He went into hiding in plain sight in the city crowds for several days before being recruited by the Blood Kiss vampire coven, serving as both court jester and jailer. He entertained his beloved count and raised the spirits of other vampires by day whilst he “played” with their “guests” by night. His strange methods of torture and harassment in the prison block gave it the nickname “the crazy room”. Even crazy, Sanyu still remains loyal to the Blood Kiss coven, willing to serve in any way he can.
