Serena: Riiiight... Well this person asks:
"What do you do during the day? Do you have a job?
Or just chill out all the time? Any hobbies?"
Oh! Is that before or after we came to the Reprieve...? Well, we try to
help out where we can, usually that's helping new arrivals get settled in,
acquainted, and comfortable, and other stuff that doesn't require
us to "run" around too much--
Ada: Yeah, Serena is really out of shape!
Serena: Oh, ha-ha. I like reading any good novels I can get ahold
of, exploring is fun, and "just chilling" with our friends is always nice!
And in addition to being such a comedienne, Ada's quite the
fitness buff herself!
Ada: Aw, well, I mean, it's nice to be able to talk
to people at eye-level! (...from what I remember...)
And besides, it feels good to exercise!
Serena: (More like it's exhausting!)
Ada: But yeah, exploring's fun! And hanging out at the lake
with friends like she said, can't go wrong with that!
Just wish swimming was easier, heheh...
Serena: (Zohra seems to manage alright!)
Ada: (Well at least she only needs to paddle her own half around!)
Anyway, another person asks:
"Do you ever miss your other half or wonder what
your legs have been up to?"
Both, in unison: Oh, great...
Ada: (Do you want to skip this one, Serry?)
Serena: (No, it's okay, thanks Ada.)
Ada: ...Alright, but it's embarrassing, so reader:
you better not laugh!!
Serena: (How would we know if they did?)
Ada: (Shush! They'd better not!)
If you'd like to ask any of my characters something, go right ahead! It can be a comment on one of my submissions or a DM, and I'll probably make a response drawing! ...Maybe! But it's free to ask so there's no reason not to if you're interested. Beware, however, that while creepy or obsessive questions are allowed, don't be surprised if you receive some sass in response in those cases! I've asked everyone to try to be nice though, so it should be fine, really! To those who want to ask something, or have already, I'll reply to your comment/message/etc letting you know if/when I finish the reply sketch!

Thanks! I intend to write more about the Reprieve, but I'm not that good at writing compelling or interesting stuff yet lol (although consistent practice would probably help with that). I will say that I thought your question about hobbies and whatnot was really helpful and made me realize that I should put more thought into my characters' actual character than just what they look like and having them do a few things, so thanks for that! Hopefully the dialogue and banter isn't too cringey lol
I think Ada and Serena would mainly be confined to swimming backstroke at the surface unless they had snorkels or scuba gear, and as for the legs' swimming ability they wouldn't be very buoyant, graceful, or coordinated, but they wouldn't exactly need to breathe either, so... poor overall, but with some niche perks I guess?

That'll be addressed and answered in a future post! But if you'd just like a concise version:
They volunteered to demonstrate an experimental medical device for a professor they were friends with at the university they were attending, but rather than (reversibly) swapping Ada's and Serena's lower halves with each other, their upper halves and lower halves were attached together as shown, but the leggy half ran off in the confusion and they can't be put back to normal until the legs are caught and brought back
