This art was inspired by a walk with a dog on a summer day, when the grass on the lawn had warmed up. She found the hottest spot and started wiggling around in the grass like a caterpillar, sticking her legs out in every direction like she was trying to push the air away. In moments like that, you just want to grab her face, belly, and paws and start play-fighting. The dog pretends she’s attacking and wants to bite — but in the end she just grins and snorts. I wanted to convey this moment, only in the form of the character's love for flowers.
