Tribute to Tarkus usually consists of treasure and livestock, making it a rather simple matter, but sometimes, seemingly on a whim, the dragon comes up with more curious demands. These demands can end up requiring the cooperation of the greatest scholars, tinkerers and craftsmen that can be found in the surrounding lands and this particular one was no exception: The great Tarkustralszar demanded of his people to build him a bed fit for a king.
A great challenge, certainly. The sheets would have to be able to withstand the spikes, claws and rough scales of their owner and it would required tremendous amounts of filling to support his weight!
But the people knew better to not disappoint their dragon overlord and while this gargantuan project took over a year to finish and required many sleepless nights and immense amounts of goose downs, it finally ended up in the dragon's lair.
It seems as if Tarkus enjoys it so far, but in secret everyone hopes that he grows tired of it rather quickly and returns to sleep on his treasures.

essenceofrapture who went above and beyond to draw this! I love the iridescence on the scales and just how large he seems, even though there's no point of reference to judge his size by.
Also this looks immensely comfortable.

I dont even know how doors could be locked. Hum, he can surely open them up by cheer draconic presence and not any random.
But also, this would be a good opportunity to test the efficiency of those crafters work's quality when two if not more or other creatures would join him for some spread legs adventures. Wild, but also truly romantic.
