In a long forgotten land of couch co-op mayhem, suddenly a devil from the depths of the nine hells emerges. She's on the hunt for human souls, wanton mayhem, and delicious mortal pizza. But more than anything, she simply enjoys a good multiplayer gaming session with friends!
So... Castle Crashers released a new DLC. Didn't expect that for a 17 year old game. But I am all on board with it! Especially since this one is all about art and making & sharing your own custom characters for the game. It makes it really playful and simple, too. No need to know animation or programming, all you need to do is draw into a premade template and choose what kind of magic your character should wield. And that's pretty much it! I can't resist that...

It was quite popular in the early days of XBox Live Arcade, back on the XBox 360. I think it stayed rather isolated on that platform for most of it's time in the sun. But yeah, within that walled garden, it was pretty big! It's a very simple side-scrolling hack-and-slash game, but very solid with great presentation.
And yes, I absolutely love this kind of Update too. Not only does it encourage people to get creative themselves, but it also revitalizes a 17-year old game. It's a pretty timeless one too.
