Few dare to call her by her true name. Those who do vanish into mirrors. Most simply call her Analog Kitsune.


Neither demon nor spirit in the usual sense, she is a fragment of an ancient kitsune that became trapped within the flow of technology, reshaping herself through static and analog distortions.

Instead of nine tails, she has nine long black arms, moving independently like shadows. Small mirrors will follow them — through which she constantly watches. Long before she arrives, her glowing eyes appear in reflections.

She always wears a ko-omote mask. Those few who glimpsed beneath it—and vanished soon after—claimed that under the mask lies the stitched-on head of a corpse. A dead face, sewn crudely to her body, as if borrowed from another existence. At times, its lips move on their own, whispering nonsense or the voices of the dead.

She is the guardian of the blurred boundary between the old spirit world and modern technology. She is not cruel for cruelty’s sake—she simply collects those who watch scary videos for too long.
