♪♪ [Calm Waters]💙🍃 by Eastern Sage & FOXGODWhen Suzaku gets in the training mindset, there’s not a lot that can stop him. A storm with a heavy downpour sure isn't one of them. Always ready to crank up the intensity, even inviting the added challenge. In fact, he’d say such circumstances present the perfect time to train. Having to balance the searing heat of adrenaline flowing through the veins, with the coolness of drenching rain blown by gusty winds. The combination, along with slippery surfaces and reduced visibility, makes it harder to maintain his usual blend of precision, speed, and agility. But he craves the difficulty. One might even find it odd for him to start meditating right in the middle of an intense session, but it serves a purpose for him. Testing his ability to maintain control of inner calm and focus, while explosive flows of adrenaline and a chaotic environment puts that focus under extreme pressure. It’s one of his strengths that serves him well in combat. Able to resist the urge to let rage, frustration, or emotions associated with adrenaline, push him towards uncoordinated brute force. Now, of course he’s not infallible, as he can shift towards brute force on rare occasions in the heat of combat. Hence the need to train this crucial aspect. But after some time he’s back up and at it. Sharpening his skills and pushing limits, rain or shine. At least as far as one can in a solo setting. Eventually, his numerous travels and contracts will have him facing off with opponents of varying skill sets and abilities. Allowing further development. But with the sharpening of skills during combat also comes tremendous amounts of risk. Something Suzaku is quite familiar with, especially when things don't quite go in his favor. Suffering some rather brutal defeats here and there. Yet he remains undeterred. Such is the lifestyle of a mercenary with the kind of drive Su has within him.

Seems that Suzaku knows too well that to get results there cannot be any reasons for quitting, especially if one is as determined as he is in that torrential rain. Only thing he needs to get one extra edge in training is a partner with equal focus close enough to his skill level... or at least someone as determined to get soaked in rain and not get a cold xP
