Winter 25, Year 3

For most of the month, Beep had heard folks talk about the Feast of the Winter Star. Lewis set up a gift exchange, and then at the event, they'd exchange gifts. The calendar in front of the General Store said it was on the 25th, which aligned with the celebration Beep had walked into the previous year. As he was looking at it, Lewis was standing nearby and noticed Beep staring intently at the dates and events listed.

"If you want to participate this year, you can get a gift for Penny."

Lewis would keep a gift on hand if the deer didn't or couldn't grasp the concept, but the more time passes, the more they realise this Weird Ass Deer was a lot more unique than they had initially thought.

On the day of, Beep brought an emerald he had found while in the mines. He'd found most people enjoyed gemstones as gifts, and he'd done well enough with the farm and livestock that he didn't mind gifting this. Penny seemed overjoyed, and even kneeled down to gave Beep a hug around his fluffy neck! While Beep hung around, walking amongst the townsfolk, he saw more gifts being exchanged. Was this some special event founded on sharing overabundance? Some sort of cultural exchange thing that moved into commonplace? Beep and his mates had a few similar holidays, and when he was alive, he remembered festivals of lights to cut through the darkness of winter. Perhaps that was how this originated, and overtime it became this?

As the celebrations began to wind down, Beep assumed his addition to the gifting pool made an uneven number, or something went unplanned for. Oh well. At least Sam snuck Beep a pretty large piece of ham as he was leaving. It had been a decently fair day for winter, so Beep made his way up the mountain, to the summit. Shedding the pelts covering him, Beep tied them up with care to make sure they didn't get blown away, and tucked them behind the bench for retrieval later. Making sure they were safe, he shook out his feathers and dug his hooves into the snow.

Running off cliffs always made his heart drop, but as his wings caught wind, he soared into the empty blue sky.

Gramps never had an heir, or they never show/ed up.
Stardew Valley Expanded; new maps, new NPCs, new events, a LOT of new stuff.
The new “Farmer” is just a Weird Ass Deer. NPCs will respond/react accordingly.

This is my first time playing Stardew Valley Expanded. Please no spoilers if you play SVE.
