Javi could never have foreseen what was about to hit him. Twice.
But Athos means well and it seems to have worked so there is method to the madness as they say.
This is honestly out of character for my big wolfdoggo so I was beginning to hesitate while finishing the page. But I got this far and felt it would be too much effort put into it to simply shelve.
Oh and as in the past, this has been extended to a 3rd page so... stay tuned for next week's finale!

Haha, dork is a perfect way to describe him here. Actually I might have gone too far. He will always remain a mature type as before but this dumb idea came to my head one day on how he could cheer Javi up that's not the typical hug or sit down and talk. Maybeeee those moments will come in the future. For now, the silly has worked haha.
I feared I might have gone a little too far maybe, but it helps ease my anxiety to read how much you love him. Thank you so much! ❤️ Silly face is not my usual thing, so that took more effort than what I'm used to haha. He will remain a mature wolfdoggo, this was just a silly idea that came to me one day and wanted to draw out.
Your comment on Athos seriously warms me up inside. Sincerely I appreciate the reassurances on my own doubts. It's even helped motivate me to finish the 3rd, final page to this.
You should try, yes! It's fun actually and gives you a good laugh although if you decide to google references for funny faces be warned it can get... disturbing so I stopped doing that. x D

Javi's condition required extreme methods of mood recovery.
Thank you, Yate. Actually it was a little out of my comfort zone as I've never really done silly faces before, usually just do serious or smile as you can tell. Most likely not to be repeated any time soon but I guess I can say I tried something new.

I don’t know, I kinda like this dynamic. Athos basically having two personas that he lets the world see. Kinda big and intimidating on the outside, yet kind, friendly and maybe even a little goofy on the inside. Yet that too is but a mask which hides an even deeper pain. He wants friends but is also afraid of getting hurt. Which is why he will either reach out first, or keep to himself for the most part. He probably sensed Javi’s pain and decided to reach out and help a person in need, hopefully making a friend in the process.
You are writing the story better than I could! I'm trying to build a ''dynamic'' between them as you put it rather than just two random characters interacting without meaning or character growth. Javi is terribly shy and closed off to ever ask for anything much less make friends. Athos has courage yet knows pain and loneliness since childhood. So it was relatable seeing Javi always in his lonely little bubble which made him sympathize.
I don't have a whole story mapped out or anything. It's really as it goes and grows with me. It's also my way of experiencing what I never had and likely never will. Nonetheless I have more comic ideas to do after this one so I hope no one gets too tired of them just yet. Again, I loved reading your deep analysis, thank you so much!
