Ossius:

Like bees, most ossius are sexless workers, with a few males and a queen responsible for repopulating the hive. The Dos are the fertile male caste, Venu are the reproducing females (and the only ones who hold political power, with Venu voting for a leader, elector count style), and Sol are the soldier and worker caste. All of them resemble metallic archaeopteryx. What look like feathers are actually modified scales. While flight means they rarely wear full clothing, body paint can be used to decorate their plumage.



Candorians:

Planet was Candor, before they destroyed it in a nuclear war called the great burning. Now it is a lifeless wasteland of rock and ash. They don’t have a capital city, as all surviving candorians live in bernal spheres called arkologies or arks. These are centrifuge space habitats housing 20,000 candorians each. The inside is full of places like parks, forests, farmland, and lakes. Each ark is controlled by a benevolent ai called a Greatmind.



Candorians reproduce though cloning, as they are almost all sterile from an ancestral obsession with genetic purity weakening them enough radiation was able to destroy their fertility. Their genitals are located inside their mouth. I can only imagine how awkward they felt seeing humans publicly kiss.



Candorians cannot walk on Earth, adapted to lower gravity and higher oxygen levels. The only terrestrial ones would be on mars or the moon, most stick to their ships.



Both species require brain-computer interfaces or text to speech devices to communicate with humans. I'll cover these more later.
