Magic isn't an exact science. It's not even science at all to begin with. That's why we throw whatever into a cauldron or alchemical beaker and hope for the best!
In this case, hope for massive magical muscle mommy kitty girls.
Greatest Familiar, by DragonMasterX.
Metamorphosis is a curious little phenomenon. One creature becomes another in order to improve or otherwise enhance itself. No clearer example exists than the Alurian butterfly, which spends the first two weeks of its life as a caterpillar roughly the size of a human infant’s thumb, quietly feeding from the roots of dying trees. After encasing itself in a cocoon within a nook in the root, time leads to the emergence of a beautiful, iridescent creature with a wingspan larger than two whole handfuls.
With its newly achieved flight, the butterfly feeds upon magic blooms atop the tree crowns native to the Alurian woodlands, causing the wing scales it sheds as they beat to glister with its particular rainbow sheen. Since the plants of the Alurian woodlands grow in soil said to have been blessed by the dragon goddess, this butterfly which brims with magic energies has also been given the name ‘dragon butterfly’ by scholars.
Whereas the genus is larger than any other variety of butterfly, it is no less frail. The dragon butterfly’s body merely serves as a carrier for magic power, as it doesn’t possess the intelligence to channel the energies coursing through it. Curiously, the only viable way to extract its magic is with the residual wing dust it produces as it flaps its large wings. Despite its imposing name, one must be tender and caring when handling the insect, for if the dragon butterfly were to expire, its magic would instantly disperse.
“Ack, don’t fly away, please!” Jeruf cried out as he stopped swinging his net around to hurry and close the two windows and the door to the laboratory. The chamber was two stories tall, but the windows were fortunately at the ground floor. Even if it had flown all the way to the ceiling, the specimen now had no way to escape.
With a dejected sigh, Jeruf grabbed his catalyst, a small crystal within a metal vessel with a glass cover, and aimed two fingers skyward. “I’ll bring you back to me.” As he focused, his patchwork robes began to flutter with the flow of magical energies rising around him.
That’s right, there was no need to panic, for he was Jeruf, Wizard Extraordinaire! Nothing was beyond his great command of the elemental arts. Why, with a quick gesture to gently guide the air currents, he could have the dragon butterfly back down harmlessly and without the need for something as mundane as a bug net! All he had to do was focus on his mana reserves and…
There was a high-pitched meow followed by an embarrassingly low whistle sliding out from between Jeruf’s fingers. It didn’t amount to anything of note; much less reaching the lab ceiling. As if taunting Jeruf, the dragon butterfly flew from wall to wall with lazy glides.
Unfortunately for the young human’s self-esteem, he was not a wizard, and he certainly was not extraordinary. In fact, three years of apprenticeship had hardly taught him anything other than how to summon his familiar.
“Mrowr!” came the source of the mewling. A pair of claws clung onto Jeruf’s leg without puncturing his clothes as a cute caracal reached up to encourage its master, standing on its haunches.
“I know. Thanks, Pepper,” Jeruf put a hand on the feline’s head, giving her scalp a little scratch between the ears, which gave a little twitch in response. The female cat happily rubbed her head against Jeruf’s hand, as if begging for more affection. “At least I got the magic dust for the potion, and it’s not like it’ll get away for now.” Continuing with the head pats, he returned his attention to the dragon butterfly. “My master would kill me if I lost his last specimen.”
“Meow?” Pepper looked up at her suddenly wistful summoner. She couldn’t fully understand him, but she could tell when he was looking sad. That butterfly was probably at fault. And she wasn’t too happy about it.
When Jeruf heard the hiss coming from Pepper, he couldn’t help but laugh. “It’ll be okay, Pepper. Don’t worry about it. Look, we have all the ingredients for the magic power potion, right?” he picked the caracal up in his arms and walked back to the alchemy station. Atop it was a thick tome open on a stand with several ingredients, including freshly harvested butterfly wing scales, laid around it.
Pepper followed Jeruf’s eyes to all the different ingredients, but they didn’t mean anything to her. She knew she was forbidden from eating anything that wasn’t offered to her. And she always did whatever her master told her to. She was a good familiar! That was why she wished to always be there for Jeruf, who had taken care of her since she could remember. She didn’t like it when her master was sad, but that seemed to happen often these days.
Jeruf and Pepper were the only ones living in the cottage hidden in the woods proximate to Alur. The home’s previous owner and Jeruf’s master, a powerful wizard of renown, had passed away not too long ago, leaving the pair to fend on their own. Jeruf had made himself responsible for taking care of everything and continuing his studies as best as he could.
As an apprentice, Jeruf had impressed the late wizard with his ability to summon his feline companion without the use of his catalyst, but that was as far as he’d progressed. Pepper was his pride and joy, but without her no one could tell he was apt as a mage.
Jeruf seemed to lack competence for any other imaginable magical feat. That was why he had decided to go through his teacher’s library in order to find a way to live up to his great legacy, to progress in his training and truly become as extraordinary as the wizard who had believed in him enough to take him under his wing.
“I just need a little more power,” Jeruf repeated to himself as he carefully set Pepper down on a chair and reviewed the potion recipe on the tome for the umpteenth time. It was a very old book, so the pages were worn and the text was faded in certain spots. The technical language of those pages also didn’t make it any easier for Jeruf. But without his teacher he understood he’d need to learn by doing; there was no point in hesitating. Processing each ingredient as the recipe dictated, he pooled them together at the bottom of a beaker.
“Next, mix white honeysuckle extract with the spring water before mixing…” the lowly apprentice mused to himself, walking over to the large cabinet on the side. There were multitudes of colorful bottles full of various liquids in it and thankfully, his late master kept them organized by color. “White’s pretty far in.”
Jeruf wasn’t a particularly tall or long-limbed lad, so he had to bring a step-stool with him in order to be able to reach deep into the cabinet. As he rummaged through the collection— barely able to understand most of the labels on each vial— he was about to swipe his target ingredient when a loud meow and a thud made him flinch and grab a bottle tighter than he had intended, his elbow hitting the rest.
“Gak—!” he hurried to pull the bottle he had grabbed out before pinning the others back in with his other arm to prevent them from falling. At the same time, he cast an apprehensive glare behind him: “Pepper! What’s with all the—?”
“Mrowr!” Pepper had knocked her chair back after jumping. She was currently leaned down atop the alchemy station table. Butt wiggling in the air, pupils dilated, claws gradually exposing… She was about to pounce. Above her, the dragon butterfly had finally decided to make its descent. It was fluttering harmlessly above the caracal familiar, who still seemed pretty upset at it.
With a firm grip on the white bottle, Jeruf hurried back to the alchemy station before disaster struck. “No, no, don’t attack it!” he ordered, making Pepper snap up at attention. She gave her master a look and questioned him with a puzzled mewl. At the commotion, the butterfly decided to retreat back to the safety of the ceiling. “That was close.”
“Mow.” Pepper sat up, curling her tail around herself. After a moment, she noticed the bottle her master was carrying and leaned in to take a sniff. There was a faint sweet scent coming from it.
“It’s okay, Pepper. We’ll get her later. I’m afraid you might be too rough to…” Jeruf paused once he realized how hung-up she seemed to be about the bottle in his hand. “Oh, this is one of the ingredients for the potion. You can’t drink it.” He wagged his finger at Pepper. While holding the bottle out, he noticed something odd about it. “I must’ve shaken the label off when I got surprised…” he huffed, staring down at his familiar. “You really gave me a scare back there, miss.”
“Mow?”
Jeruf laughed and reached over to pat her on the head. “I know. You just wanted to help, as always. Anyway, no more distractions! Let’s take care of this.”
After mixing spring water with half the white liquid, Jeruf put the bottle back into the cabinet and carefully closed it. He went back to pour the mixture into the beaker with the rest of the ingredients. In order to dilute everything, he used the flames from a candle under the glass to heat its contents, just like the old tome said. Carefully he stirred until the mixture started bubbling, then he removed it from the fire. “It should be turning green, according to the potion book…”
Both Jeruf and Pepper stared at the full beaker. The bubbles seemed to be getting bigger, but the off-color whiteness didn’t seem to be getting any greener. After a few minutes of only watching bubbles rise and pop with increasing frequency, Jeruf snapped his fingers. “That’s it. Didn’t the reagents page say Mandragora root helps stabilize potions? Plus, its leaves are green!” his eyes lit up before he turned to his familiar.
Pepper tilted her head curiously. She couldn’t understand most words her master was saying, but she could infer via tone and gestures.
“Okay. Pepper? I’m going to the gardens outside for a moment.” Jeruf pointed at one of the windows before correcting himself: “Well, more like a little while. They’re kind of far away.” He laughed a little, but tried to look serious. “I’m not bringing you along because I don’t want to risk you getting the mandrakes upset like last time though, so you’ll stay put here, alright? Can I trust you not to get into a scuffle with the dragon butterfly…?” he pointed up this time, pouting.
“Mow!” Pepper sat up straight, dutifully. Like someone who had just understood their assignment. Jeruf smiled, satisfied. With one more gentle rub of her head, he left through the door. Her eyes followed her master right to the moment the door clicked before her attention went back to the butterfly, when they narrowed. Her foe had been spared, for now.
As she patiently waited, Pepper’s curiosity got the better of her. She could still smell that sweet fragrance from before, except instead of faint it was now considerably more potent than when the white stuff from the bottle had been imprisoned. With a furtive glance back at the closed door, she tippy-tapped closer to the beaker to get a better whiff from the steaming concoction. She stared unblinkingly at the mixture, licking her chops for a moment before her ears twitched to attention to a loud snap.
One of the bursting bubbles had startled Pepper. She was suddenly concerned, for the bubbles hadn’t been this loud before. Something was wrong with her master’s mixture. Not only had it failed to change color, but its fizziness seemed to have gone out of control. Before Pepper could react, there was a blinding flash of cyan which covered the alchemy station and she suddenly felt something hitting her hard and fast.
“Mmyaaaah!” Pepper’s whimpering mewling had been muffled by the bursting beaker, the resulting explosion having sent the poor cat flying into a wall. She hit the floor next and struggled to get back up to her paws, the ringing in her ears making it hard to regain her balance. All she could make out was the deep cyan glow that had enveloped her as her consciousness faded to black…
Five minutes later, Pepper found herself waking back up. She was sprawled on her side, eyes deorbited. There was a high-pitched yet soft groan. “Oww, my head.” She immediately flinched to it and cautiously got up to her paws. “Who’s there?” the feminine voice spoke, dulcet yet full of confusion.
Pepper rapidly glanced from side to side. She even quickly turned her body around, spinning two circles before calmly sitting back down. “Something strange is— Ah! There it is again! Who is…?”
There was a pause followed by silence. Pepper had frozen in place. Her shiny blue eyes had dropped as far as they could, looking at the source of the girlish voice. “No way! Is this my voice? I’m speaking! Just like Master! All these noises: They’re words… How can I understand them so well?”
Sorting through the bits and pieces from the wrecked alchemic station, especially the sharper ones, the confused caracal hurried on to the large mirror next to the ingredient cabinet. “Nyaaaaahhh! I’m Pepper!” she said, watching her reflection move its mouth in a much more articulate manner than her usual mewling afforded her. “Was that magic explosion at fault?” she thought out loud, looking back at the wreckage and pouting. “Master won’t be happy. This was his teacher’s potion making table…”
As Pepper’s sentences left her mouth, she found herself questioning each and every word. Teacher. Potion. Magic. Explosion. Words that didn’t mean much to a cat. And yet she couldn’t deny she hadn’t heard them before. In fact, she’d heard them many times in the past by listening to her Master and teacher converse.
Back then, these words had meant nothing to Pepper, but now they suddenly made sense to her. She could associate a mental picture to each word, and from there, many others began to surface one after another from her memories. Dialogues became fragments which could be used to make new sentences, and by cross-referencing those strangely vivid flashbacks, she found herself with greater understanding than any run-of-the-mill familiar. And it all was giving way to increasingly complex thoughts.
Thoughts. Thinking had never been Pepper’s forte. In fact, she couldn’t recall any deeper thought other than wanting to eat the fresh fish her Master would catch for her or wanting to nap on his lap during cold afternoons. But now she could use words and think with clarity.
“This must be what being smart feels like.” Pepper solemnly sat down, scanning the laboratory as if this hadn’t been her thousandth visit to it. In fact, this was the first time she had identified the room as an alchemy lab. “This is where Master works, and all I do is pester him. But now I’m talking like he does. Thinking like he does. It’s all so wonderful to be like his kind!” Pepper was growing more excited by the minute. She found she could name the assortment of apparatuses one by one, call out each shelved book going up to the ceiling and, of course, she narrowed her vision at the fluttering insect hanging out at the top.
“You made my master upset,” Pepper felt it adequate to properly address the bug. “But it is not my place to punish you, that much was made clear to me— wuh?” she flinched to a pause. Out of pure instinct, or perhaps human imitation, Pepper had brought her paw to her chest as gesticulation. That’s when she noticed something was off with her hand.
“I have a hand.” Pepper stared as she wiggled her stubby little digits. As far as she could remember, her coffee-brown fore paws had always had five clawed fingers and cute little pink pads at the center. But the dewclaw seemed to have moved to the side, extending away from her paw to create an opposable thumb. “I have two hands.” She corrected herself after lifting her other paw and observing their mirrored symmetry.
For some reason, Pepper found herself smiling. Not only was it amusing to watch her thumbs roll, but this sudden change made her feel a certain level of empathy towards her Master. “What can’t be completely rationally explained, yet still happens. Magic. I must be full of… oh!”
Pepper let out a little mewl, feeling herself getting warm out of nowhere. She then recognized a tingling sensation spreading from her core to the rest of her, gathering at her chest. Curiously, she brought her altered mitts to her fluffy bosom, splaying her fingers against a rising mass. “What are these bumps…?” she pressed down, as if attempting to push her own flesh down. But she found more resistance than she had expected.
“Mmmrrrrowr…!” Pepper began panting, “I feel so hot all of a sudden. Thu-that explosion did more to me than just make me smart!” she exclaimed with a sigh of pleasure as she felt her hands getting pushed away. Those rising lumps of fluffy flesh were growing larger, and so too was the rest of her. The magic energies welling from within were transforming her, configuring her into a new shape.
Before she knew it, Pepper found herself cupping a pair of tear-drop-shaped breasts. But she didn’t get much time to investigate, as she was feeling the tingling spread to the rest of herself. Her legs and arms were growing slightly longer, bone and articulations altering their structure.
Back flexed in response to the rest of her skeleton adapting to facultative bipedalism. Pepper soon found herself with greater limb liberty, most notably in her lower body as she slid herself off her haunches and put pressure onto her toes.
Standing up on her feet felt natural now. And it would’ve been considerably more natural had the gradual expansion of her body not been occupying every elucidated neuron in her brain. Pepper wobbled on her new upright position as she felt herself swelling larger inch by inch, her body pushing out against her skin like it was made of perfectly elastic rubber.
With each stumbling step bringing her closer to the wall next to the mirror, every minute detail of the change was savored by Pepper’s overwhelmed mind. Shouldering herself against the hard surface, she could feel the side of her arm sliding up on the wall with every expansive instant. “Why does this feel so good?” the feline familiar asked herself with quivering lips, speaking with little heated breaths. In spite of how hot she felt, she was shivering all over. Each bodily shudder would add an inch to her height, and she’d whimper with an alien need in turn. A spark had been struck.
That first tingle in Pepper’s chest had left such a big impression that her free hand moved towards that location in response to the new yearning. Looking at herself panting in the mirror, Pepper felt like she was about to lose it, and the grope she gave her new breasts was like a desperate cry for control. “Mmnnyaaaa…” she gasped from the newfound pleasure, shutting her eyes to savor the sensation for a moment.
That squeeze to her enlarged tit felt so good that it made Pepper roll her back against the wall, freeing her other arm and letting her bring her hands up to split the work evenly. She toyed with the sensitive yet soft handfuls for a few more moments before she realized she was no longer growing. “Guuuuhh…” she slurred, heavy eyelids drawing open. Pepper’s eyes were ceiling bound, yet that butterfly didn’t seem to bother her anymore. She was too euphoric to care.
“That was incredible…” the caracal’s splayed ears slowly stood up as she managed to finally pry herself off the wall. Pepper slid on her feet for the first few paces before she actually gave conscious walking a try. It did feel natural, but it was still so much different than crawling on all fours, making her a lot more conscious of her body. The way it swayed, the gait of her step, the angle at which her hips cocked, and of course, the jiggle of her breasts which hadn’t existed until now.
“I’m so big now.” Pepper observed as she stopped in front of the mirror to inspect herself anew. “And bouncy,” she remarked after noting how it took a couple of seconds for certain parts of her to stop moving. She went down to all fours for a moment for the sake of comparison, judging that she had grown at least a whole foot taller. Almost comparable to an adult human woman, all things compared. A short one, anyway.
Thinking about human women, Pepper reminded herself of the times a witch used to visit. Her Master always looked happy to see her even though she always spoke with the wizard instead. It always made Pepper jealous when she showed up, since it usually meant she had to really beg for her required dose of head pats thanks to the distraction. It really got her thinking about how flustered her Master looked when staring at the witch.
“Master must’ve really liked that woman.” Pepper thought to herself. “I wonder if he’d like me too looking like that...” As her mind wandered in detail, magic power caused a cyan outline to envelop her body. This aura swelled out, engulfing her like a comforting blue flame. When Pepper realized what was going on, she was shocked to see fire harmlessly dancing upon her body.
Dividing amongst her curvy body, each flame covered a different part and did so in a wreathing manner. Instead of getting burnt, Pepper felt lightweight purple and light blue fabric materializing over herself each time a flame burnt out. From her ankles to her knees, gold-trimmed leggings were the first to appear, followed by long cuffs of the same design around her wrists except without the gold.
“This is… Oh!” Pepper mewled as a form-fitting corset manifested at her upper body next, clinching her waist from the sides while exposing a good deal of her tummy and pushing her breasts out into a notably prominent cleavage. This was followed by a flowing waist-length cape which tied above her bust with a gemstone brooch. Next, Pepper’s lower body was covered in a double split skirt decorated with golden stars as its motif, its short loincloth hanging as low as mid-thigh while keeping her legs fully exposed. And finally, she tilted her head back when a large star-tipped pointy hat completed the ensemble.
One glance at the mirror told the story. From head to toe, Pepper now looked like a caracal witch. “This is… just what I was thinking about!” she spun around to check herself out, pulling at and spreading her cape to watch it flutter behind her. “Oh gosh. I look so cute! But did I really do this? I’m a familiar, so I must be magic. But do I really control magic now, too?”
With those questions at the forefront of her mind, Pepper could only look at her open hands in deep wonder. She thought about all the new things she knew, and how easily she could understand them now. Could she also understand the energies flowing through and outside of her? In principle, it all had to be connected, down to the elemental basics. She focused on what she wanted to see and felt the pink beans on her black paw pads begin to tingle. “That’s it. Direct it…” she murmured, pupils gradually thinning out.
And sure enough, the air above her hands began to sparkle before igniting. Swathes of flame gathered above her cupping hands, which molded the fire into spherical wisps. Pepper grinned. “Oh how wonderful! I really, truly am performing magic!” she giggled, carefully motioning her right hand from left to right, watching the fireball follow above her stubby little fingers. After she was satisfied with the trick, she moved her hands close and merged both fireballs into a much larger one. A cute little smile drew itself on the burning wisp before Pepper willed it to go away for now.
Satisfied, Pepper was feeling more excited than ever now. “That explosion must’ve infused me with so much magic power. With a body like this, I’ll be the perfect assistant for my dear Master!” the overjoyed caracal jumped to celebrate.
Looking back at the remains of the alchemy table though, Pepper couldn’t help but wonder to herself. “But surely that wasn’t what the potion was meant to do, was it?” she mused on approach to a piece of glass from the beaker. Since she couldn’t find the tome with the recipe, Pepper thought it might have been consumed in the blast. But she still could recall the ingredients her Master had used.
Pepper thought back to each ingredient and how commonplace they were. The only rare ingredient she could think of was the dragon butterfly dust, but that alone shouldn’t have charged her with this much power either. And then something occurred to her. “Wait, that sweet smell. Was it white honeysuckle dew?” she turned towards the bottle cabinet in deep thought. “It didn’t smell fruity at all. No plant has that kind of scent. It was almost… like cream.”
Intrigued by her own ruminations, Pepper hastily pulled a chair close before hopping on top. She noted how easily it was to open doors now as the cabinet revealed its contents to her. With her keen sense of smell, Pepper took two white bottles out. The one labeled “white honeysuckle” definitely smelled like a plant, while the label free one seemed to be the source of the smell she had picked out earlier. Her Master had added the second ingredient by accident, probably due to her bumbling earlier.
Setting the honeydew back in place, Pepper found herself staring at the bottle in her hands. “This must be why Master’s potion failed. Or rather, succeeded in an unexpected way…” she pouted, finding it difficult even with her expanded knowledge to identify the creamy liquid within. However, there was something Pepper could immediately tell about this bottle’s contents. It was unlike any other magical ingredient in the laboratory.
With her steadily improving attunement to magic energies, Pepper’s eyes could now display magic as colored particles hanging over infused items. Purified spring water flowed with whiteness, soil samples from the Alurian forests were yellow, harpy feathers with green. It all corresponded to the item’s most prevalent element. And in the case of the dragon butterfly above, its wings glowed iridescently, indicating its elemental attunement to be perfectly balanced. However, the liquid in Pepper’s hands shone with a color her newly expanded vocabulary could not describe. It was something beyond what could be found in nature, let alone manmade.
Now it all made sense to the anthropomorphic familiar. “Master was trying to make a magic power potion to help with his low mana reserves. This ingredient changed the formula. It’s… so full of power.” What was in Pepper’s hands wasn’t just an ingredient. It was God-like essence. “How did this get here in the first place? I can’t imagine it’s easy to come by. Just who was that my Master’s teacher, really…?”
As questions mounted in Pepper’s mind, the caracal’s thoughts inevitably centered on what was truly important at the moment. The ingredient was charged with those magical energies which had so fantastically enhanced and uplifted her from familiar to a magic wielder. “If the sampling that Master used to concoct the failed potion did this much for me, then what would it do if I…?”
Pepper had received a wealth of new intelligence most creatures go blissfully without for their whole lives. Intelligence which invited both curiosity and wariness in temperance. A brain smart and capable enough to analyze and deduce the truth from ambiguity. Desire and instinct trumped all of that.
Devout as ever, Pepper knew she could be the best assistant ever to her Master. And the answer to her desire lay under the cork. Without hesitation, her thumb popped the bottle open in two consecutive flicks. And without hesitation, she tilted the bottle towards her lips, sipping on the undiluted special ingredient. The moment the liquid touched her tongue, Pepper’s pupils dilated to the biggest size they could achieve.
“It really is like cream. No, this is sweet milk…” Pepper confirmed, instantly hooked on the flavor. The milk went down her throat easy, and with every gulp, she only grew thirstier for it. Soon she was holding the bottle from its bottom as she practically crammed the neck into her mouth, suckling on it like a starved infant with its milk bottle.
“I’m going to be the best, for Master’s sake!” was the prevalent thought in the overjoyed feline’s head as her core bathed in divine essence. Pure power was enveloping Pepper, like a crashing wave at a small grotto. It was simply too much volume for a being so small. But that one thought which guided her existence— “Be the best for Master”— alongside her rapidly escalating mana reserves, easily solved the too much liquid for such a small container issue.
With the bottle halfway consumed, Pepper’s body didn’t waste time accommodating to its quickly rising levels of magical strength. The first thing that happened was her growing a whole foot taller in the span of a few seconds. It happened so suddenly and so fast that the condensed pleasure hit her like a wall of bricks, causing her to seize up for a moment, eyes rolling up. With each new suckle, Pepper felt an intensified version of the earlier tingling spreading all over her, only this time pulses of the sensation remained in several key parts of her body.
Her corset began to feel tighter as her chest started pushing out again, this time burgeoning with such impunity that flesh began to spill. But her breasts weren’t the only ones caught in the disproportionate bit of bodily expansion this time. Pepper moaned into her bottle as she felt her hips swelling outwards, her buttocks growing heftier as they pushed away from her into defined rounded-out shapes. Soon each glut seemed to be fighting for space at her behind as the back of her loincloth smoothly slid in-between. Pepper could feel her legs growing much longer than before, becoming womanly pillars slightly over half her body height by themselves. With her enlarged bust and bottom, she was now a perfect hourglass, and taller than the average human woman to boot. But that wasn’t the whole bottle; Pepper had to find out just how big she could get.
With each new gulp, Pepper felt the tingling further intensify at her limbs, warming up every muscle from the tip of her digits to her mid-section. She moaned again as she felt as if her insides were getting pumped with air. Except it wasn’t air, but rapidly developing muscle cord. With throbbing pulses, her biceps began to inflate on her enlarging arms. Triceps followed suit, adding to the general thickness of her upper limbs. Pepper’s eyes widened in disbelief as she saw the veins running along her skin popping against her smooth fur. Her muscles were growing now!
As she grew another foot taller, Pepper felt the rest of her physique bloat with additional mass. Shoulders widened, growing apart from her neck as gorged deltoids rose. Her upper torso followed suit with trapezoid muscles growing beneath her cape, her broadness soon making them pop out from the sides. Already larger than basketballs, her steadily ballooning breasts were propped up by her swelling pectoral muscles, but regardless of how much they grew, they simply could not outpace the expansion of Pepper’s girls. Her top was soon overflowing with pushed-up tit flesh, inevitably smothering the side of her musclebound arms that continued to hold the milk bottle for dear life.
Her abdominal region was next with chiseled muscle rising like loaves in an oven, forming an impeccably fluffy mountain range of tight abs where her brown fur coat was lightest. The slenderness of her legs didn’t last long either, for they soon were exploding with muscle as well. Quads and hamstrings confabulated with Pepper’s ass to make her so bottom heavy that her hips soon outgrew the expansion of her shoulders, making those deliciously round swells stick out further away from her while pelvic region grew more immense. Below the knees, her calves inflated out into thick diamonds threatening to rip through her leggings. Pepper was becoming a mountainous amount of cat!
With the milk almost completely consumed, she stabbed her tongue into the bottle to sup what droplet remained. The caracal was simply addicted to the taste, but soon there was no more, and in her carelessness her much bigger fingers allowed the bottle to slip into her monstrous cleavage. That was when Pepper truly took dimension of how humongous she was becoming. “Oh-oh gosh. Thu-this is much more potent than I thought…!”
Indeed, it took only one glance at Pepper to tell she was no longer a little kitty girl, but a statuesque amount of caracal woman. With her currently 9ft. tall reflection in the mirror, Pepper could admire all those drastic and continuous changes as they happened. Her clothes felt tight on her, but they too appeared to be growing after her as the fabric didn’t seem to be tearing no matter how fat her breasts and rear grew. “I’m so buff, everything around me is looking so small…!”
Pepper was surprised about how simultaneously rock solid and squishy she looked at the same time. Her biceps were already pushing into the size of small boulders, each easily larger than her own head, but even they could not compete with the overinflated beachballs bulging out on her chest and making it impossible to look down at the floor without bending over. By now, she judged that even were she to bend over, her cleavage would still keep magnetic hold of her periphery. In a way, she felt quite relieved that her rear had decided to flare out as spectacularly as it had, for it provided an excellent counterbalance to her otherwise extremely top-heavy figure.
With a few more growth spurts, Pepper climbed past ten feet tall, her muscles developing her into such a power house that she was starting to be wary of even moving for fear of wrecking everything under her might. Even her cute little foot paws had turned into a colossal pair of pads with clawed toes thicker than a human’s face. Pepper worried she might not be able to take her preferred spot at her Master’s lap anymore! It was enough to make her briefly pout, but she couldn’t resist the thrill that growing this big was giving her. All this power she was overflowing with made her feel right at home. Like this was meant to be, like this was the level of familiar she had always imagined herself as. And thanks to that divine cream, her dream was becoming true!
At the end of the transformation, the twelve-foot-tall Pepper could no longer see below her neck in her reflection without leaning down. She was in fact so massive that her arms could reach all the way into the ceiling of the lab, where she carefully furled a finger to offer the dragon butterfly a safe landing spot. Pepper smiled at the bug, her tail swishing to and fro as she looked at the specimen which had given her and her Master such grief. “I know you want to go out,” she said. “But you mean a lot to my Master’s teacher. I will speak to my Master later about getting a new specimen, so hang on for a little while longer, alright?”
The butterfly didn’t communicate back verbally. Its wings fluttered a couple of times before it gently took off, gliding in a circle before gracefully returning to its terrarium of its own accord. Satisfied with her ability to restrain the raw physical strength coursing through her magic-infused veins, Pepper turned around and heard a snap under her huge feet with the first step she took. “Oh, gosh. That’s right. Master would be upset if he had no alchemy table to work at.”
First, she stepped away an appropriate distance. Next, with an up-facing right palm gesture, Pepper cut the air from left to right, encapsulating the remains of the crafting table in a transparent green bubble. Then, pressing her finger to a thumb as if seizing a loose strand of yarn, her hand slowly crossed the air from right to left in undulating fashion. With a snap, every bit of strewn debris started moving all of a sudden, coming together at the center of the lab before reassembling in its previous state, reconstituting the alchemy table. “Good as new!” Pepper grinned, clapping her hands with an endearing mewl.
“What in the…?”
Pepper’s ears twitched out of their hat holes, their long black tufts swaying in the air as a familiar voice seized her attention in full. Her Master had finally returned from the garden. He was looking awfully dirty, a long white root held in his hand by its three long green leaves. The caracal’s heart nearly jumped out of her chest. He looked so absolutely tiny and cute now! Pepper could not contain her elation at seeing Jeruf’s return. “Hello, Myaster!” she threw herself at him.
As the entire cottage shook from the heavy stomping, Jeruf’s eyes bulged behind the long red bangs obscuring them. Some sort of peculiarly dressed furry giantess had somehow gotten inside of his late master’s lab and was now coming at him with arms thicker than he was bearing down upon him. Frozen and speechless, all he could do was drop the hard-earned mandrake onto the floorboards before he was utterly bowled over by two exceedingly fluffy squishy mountains.
“Myaster, you’re back!” the exhilarated Pepper happily squeaked as she carefully yet energetically hugged Jeruf. Even while kneeling down, her master had no choice but to dangle from her arms as she cuddled him to her mammoth mammaries like a girl with her stuffed animal. “I’m so relieved. You were taking so long I thought you might have gotten lost! Are you okay? You got the Mandragora root!”
It was impossible to keep up with the giant caracal’s exuberance. Jeruf was happy to still be alive and with his spine intact after getting seized like that. For all of that monstrous strength, she appeared to be in control of it. With his head half-trapped into the cavernously fluffy cleavage however, words went in one ear and out the other. His hands finally got the courage to find purchase on the mighty firm yet soft shelf, enough to push himself up and meet the animal witch’s eyes. “Uh-uhm… Excuse me, but who are you?”
The sound of shattering glass echoed in Pepper’s head. As her heart sunk, she tried to maintain a smile and gently held him out to give him a wider berth. Tittering, she asked: “You don’t recognize me, Myaster?”
Jeruf was suddenly afraid of saying the wrong thing. He tried focusing. Where had he seen an outfit like that before? He couldn’t remember ever meeting a woman twice his size and this generously endowed! But all that mental exercise was for nothing, as all he could think about when he managed to tear his eyes away from the witch for a moment was the otherwise empty lab. “Wait. Pepper!” he had been thinking about her on the way back. The absence of his little familiar worried him. “Where’s Pepper? Oh Gods. Please tell me you didn’t step on her!”
Quickly losing her patience, Pepper raised her voice: “Silly Myaster! I’m Pepper!” she said, holding him out with just one huge hand wrapped around his waist as if he was a life-sized doll. She pawed at the air in front of him next. “Mow!”
It then clicked in the mentally overwhelmed apprentice’s head. “Puh-Pepper? You can talk now! Is it really—? But what happened to you?!” the freaked-out wizard-in-training reached out to pat his comparatively tiny hands over her thick forearm. It would’ve been impossible for him to wrap his mitts around his familiar’s wrist if he wanted to. “You’re… Well, you’re so huge now! Oh Gods. Did you find a hidden stash of the master’s weird potions?”
“No, nothing like that, Myaster!” Pepper giggled, “It was an accident, actually. Your potion… well, how do I put this?” she took a small pause before she reached into her cleavage to fish out the relatively tiny bottle from between her breasts. “You mistook one of the ingredients. There was this big blast that I and the lab got caught up in, and when I came to, I found out I was a little smarter and bigger…”
“This is not a little bigger, Pepper!” Jeruf remarked full of concern, gesturing out with his hands at all of her being.
Grinning at his reaction, Pepper shook the empty bottle dangling from her chunky fingers. “This milk made my magic power soar. It must’ve come from a seriously powerful being. Definitely cosmic in nature. It’s what made me even bigger and stronger! See?” she stretched her arm outwards, curling in and making her bicep swell to the point it dwarfed Jeruf’s head.
“I… I’m not sure I understand everything,” Jeruf said, completely overwhelmed by the display of so much power in such a casual motion. “But you’re Pepper, right? You’re still my familiar, and more importantly, you’re fine, right?”
“I’ve never felt better!” Pepper delightfully exclaimed. “I feel like I could wrestle with a dragon! With these I bet I could blast a yummy sturgeon out of the river for dinner time, too!” she waved a hand, making a smiling fire wisp appear above it.
Jeruf was startled, his eyes practically jumping out at the demonstration of magic power. “Pepper, this is amazing! You’re even better at magic than I am!” he laughed, then immediately deflated. “Not like it takes a lot to be better than me at magic, haha…”
“Aw, Myaster!” Pepper immediately dispelled the fireball and went back to hugging him, this time wrapping herself around him so that she could nuzzle her cheek against him. “I know you try harder than anybody. One day you’ll be the greatest wizard the lands have known!”
This was definitely Pepper. The affectionate way in which she nuzzled him was unmistakable. He had read that caracal usually don’t take well to human beings, so he had always felt special in the way his familiar was so physical with him. Even with her new size and power, she was still the same cuddly cat he had summoned all of those years ago. And to top if all off, with her newfound voice she was even encouraging him! No. She always had been encouraging him before as well, but now Jeruf could fully understand and communicate with her.
“You’re right,” Jeruf’s expression softened. Reaching over, he patted her head through her witch hat, eliciting a rumbling purr from the thick giantess. “You’ve always been here for me, Pepper. The master and you are the reasons I’ve been trying so hard all along, y’know?”
“I’ll always be here for you, Myaster.” Pepper cooed, happily tilting her head and following his patting hand. “And now that I’m this powerful, I’m sure I’ll be a proper assistant, and help you with your studies, and your potion making, and I’ll be the best familiar you could hope for. You’ll see!”
“Pepper…” Jeruf grinned, hugging his arms around her burly neck, allowing himself to sink against the massive caracal’s firm muscles and squishy curves. “You were already the best familiar a wizard-in-training like me could’ve ever hoped for.”
Pepper’s tail was sweeping the floor, its weight shoving the repaired alchemy table sideways. Emotions swelled with tears of joy sprinkling out of her eyes. “Nyaaaaaa!” she cried out, ears flattening as she hugged her dear Master tightly.
Then there was a crack. “Nuh-not so tight, Puh-Pepper…” Jeruf choked.
There would be a lot to get used to from this point on. But Jeruf and Pepper’s lives were about to get a lot more interesting.
In the depths of Celestial Falls, within a crack in space and time, its reclusive inhabitant had waddled out of bed to make breakfast. On her way to the kitchen, she decided she would be having hotcakes. “All out, already…?” the anthropomorphic sky-blue dragoness groggily sighed, brushing away her long blonde bangs before rubbing at her eyes to make sure to confirm the absence of milk from her fridge.
“I was sure I’d put a bottle in here before I went for a nap. Oh well…” the curvaceous beefcake disrobed and gently palmed underneath her colossal bust. It sloshed in response. “They always taste better with fresh ingredients, anyway.”
The End.

The End.
