"Tell Me I'm Fine"
Last Resort - Falling In Reverse
We all know that feeling. We've all been through it.
That heavy, no way out and crushing feeling. It leaves a scar. It leaves a lesson, to teach how you lose someone while teaching you to survive it at the same time.
But sometimes, for some people, its almost life-ending.
It teaches them to never let it happen again. To hold on and never let go for dear life; least they lose a part of themselves.
Sometimes it can be helped while other times there's nothing to do but break.
Take a fall in reverse. Crumble into the sky. Learn to get higher from it while never being the same again.
Learn a new way of "shoulda, coulda, woulda" to bear for the next time something risks devastating them.
Some things aren't fine. Some times you run and cry.
I spent a lot on this piece. Money that coulda, woulda, shoulda gone into other pieces with other people. But it didn't.
Because sometimes they ghost you when you've laid everything out with hope.
Or sometimes because they die with a shared dream between you.
Because sometimes.. its just easier to be solo when nothing feels right and all the people you hope would be there, could be there, should be there- Aren't.
LynnCore did SO fucking amazing on this piece. I honestly wasn't sure what I was going to get originally, maybe something lewd, or just lovely in general. But around the time they opened slots, I had this song come back around on me and god. Did it ever just..express how fucked everything has been for me lately. One after another, punches hitting me in the heart itself and wondering if I'm just getting a message to give up. And it leaves me with the inability to do anything but collapse. Break down. And rip the world around me apart not in rage but in desperation to understand...
...why?
