Penzima is a very vain leopard, viewing herself as beautiful to any creature with a pulse. Her melanistic fur that she inherited from her grandfather made her stand out among others of her kind, which was how she wound up drawing the attention of Dingane, a male who would become her mate. Dingane had plans to take the food supply of the nearby Sunrise Pride for him and his fellow leopards, and Penzima was more than willing to help. It’s the kind of trouble that she enjoyed.
As part of their plan, Penzima tries to seduce the king’s majordomo Xiro, who surprisingly becomes infatuated with her in no time. She didn’t really care if he truly loved her or not, as her heart truly belonged to Dingane and wooing Xiro was all part of the plan. Once the king’s second in command was out of the way, the king himself would be targeted next, and once he was gone, the kingdom’s prey animals would be theirs for the taking. Eventually, Penzima manages to fake her own death, making it look like Xiro had killed her in cold blood. Since killing another animal for sport is outlawed in the Sunrise Pride, many of the kingdom’s inhabitants demand that he be exiled. But before Penzima could make herself scarce, a lioness named Kaira manages to catch her and drag her back to the Sunrise Pride, proving Xiro’s innocence.
Their plan foiled, Penzima, Dingane and their cohorts are exiled from the kingdom. She later bears a litter of cubs in solitude, and while the first two were normal leopards, the third was clearly sired by Xiro, being a freakish hybrid of leopard and lion. She has Dingane dispose of the hybrid runt, as neither of them wished to keep a reminder of their failure and believed that she would’ve died soon, anyways. Penzima and Dingane raise their two cubs together in the jungle, but when their children are still adolescents, she and Dingane are both killed in a landslide caused by heavy rain, leaving the two siblings to fend for themselves.
Penzima is Panthy from El Arca. She's a busty black leopard who just runs about the ark trying to seduce others, and she also tries to frame Xiro for eating her so that a tiger can have his kingdom after the flood is over. This movie is whack, man.
And don’t worry, her hybrid daughter lives! You’ll find out who she is soon enough. ;)
