I’ve been planning this Drive for a couple of years, but now it’s time to make it happen. You probably came here from the ad I posted, so welcome!

What is a WG Drive?
It’s a mini interactive comic where the character will gain weight based on the amount of support received. Each new part will be published every Wednesday starting August 20, and Leslie’s weight in each one will be determined by the number of favorites, watches, follows, retweets, and donations collected up to the day before.
The main goal is to raise funds, but any kind of support helps this girl grow. If you like my work, I’d really appreciate your participation so I can keep growing as an artist.

What is the purpose of raising funds?

I’m trying to improve my quality of life. I live alone and have health problems I can’t afford, working jobs that don’t make me happy, paying off debts I inherited that weren’t even mine in the first place. I’d be lying if I said I’m doing terrible — I’m alive and have a roof over my head. The problem is, I feel like I’m not the owner of my own life, since I live and earn money for others and never really get to enjoy even the smallest things. If I keep going like this, I’ll never be able to do things that make me feel good. So you could say this is a way to help me escape that situation. Even though I love art, it’s never been something I could make a good living from.

I’m not asking for a specific amount of money; I just want to have some extra funds to have peace of mind at the end of the month.

My current plans are:

* Improve my health: I have asthma and frequently need treatment, which I can’t always afford without running short on money. I need new glasses — I’ve had the same pair for 5 years, and my vision isn’t what it used to be (plus the frames are worn out). And finally, I have some extra teeth that shouldn’t be there and a broken molar, which causes discomfort when I eat.

* Buy things I need but can’t afford: mainly some clothes, since I barely have any, and parts to repair my old washing machine (or, if things go well, even buy a new one).

* Buy a better drawing tablet: Mine is already a few years old and starting to fail. I’ve always dreamed of having one with a screen because it would be a great tool to improve my work quality, but they’re pretty expensive.

* Create a video game: I have many ideas in my head I’ve always wanted to bring to life, but I don’t have the means to do it. With some extra funds, I’d have time to work on that. I’d like to start with something simple, that may or may not work, but I don’t want to die without trying.

If this Drive goes well, I could probably bring others in the future, but for that I need your support. I know my reasons may not be enough for many, but these are things that would help me a lot anyway, so I have nothing to lose by trying.
