Fearful of Crazy E once again taking him over from the effects of his own power, Edward--with Kiyoshi's help--was able to purge most of his chaotic magic from his system.
No longer able to tap into his full magical capabilities (for the time being), Edward felt lost for a moment.
He became weaker, sluggish, and less reactive than before. Even when cursed to become a monster again by Kiyoshi, his pain tolerance had deteriorated, making his transformations agonizing once more.
Despite all of this, Edward finally found clarity for the first time in his life.
Now with a clear mind, Edward decided to meet up with lion brother Leon to help him overcome his newfound handicap.
Meanwhile, months after Edward's purging, his scattered chaotic energy slowly began to combine.
Eventually, this aura concentrated and formed itself into a distorted but corporeal version of Edward.
It felt lost momentarily. It sensed immense power coursing through itself, yet felt eternally incomplete.
But when it tried to move its limbs, there were no restraints, nothing was holding it back.
