For reasons that are my own I have decided to commission a new ref line up of my Dancer's Terrific Tour characters.

Amelia Chase
Gender: Female
Age: 21
Height: 5ft 6 ½” when standing upright
Species: Grass Snake (Naga)
Occupation: Food Reviewer & Food Challenger

Amelia never excelled at anything growing up. She didn’t do badly at school, but she never got top grades either. From childhood to adulthood, she tried her hand at many things, from playing musical instruments, painting, gaming, crafting and so much other stuff, but either ended up feeling she wasn’t good enough at it, or it didn’t bring her joy. She always felt she was in a slump until one day an idea came to her. The thing that always brought joy was food and, sure, she wasn’t a great cook, but she had a great appreciation for food and for those who could make it. So Amelia decided that perhaps food could help her succeed at something, and so she made a food review channel. She half-heartedly thought that it wouldn’t go anywhere, but to her utter surprise it turned out that a lot of people enjoyed hearing her thoughts on food, and it wasn’t long before she gained a vast number of followers on all her social networks. Having felt like she had finally succeeded at something in her life, she wanted to go further. Thus, on top of her food reviews, she also started doing food challenges both at home and at restaurants around the country, which only seemed to increase her fanbase. Her fanbase wasn’t the only thing that increased, since eating that much food tends to also increase one's weight. Now most would be upset or disgusted at gaining so much weight, but not Amelia. She, in fact, enjoyed gaining the pounds because, for her, it was like she was becoming more of herself, both figuratively and literally.



Vanessa Ball
Species: Pine Marten
Age: 20

Occupation: A parkour traceur

Vanessa didn’t have the greatest time growing up. She never knew her mother, and it was only her and her dad in their home in the suburbs of Bellchester town. She didn’t hate her dad by any means and loved him dearly, but growing up, he worked long hours in order to support the two of them, so she didn’t see him much and would often have to stay around with other family members after school.
Vanessa would develop a deep sense of loneliness growing up and school didn't really help with that. School was a nightmare for Vanessa. Being picked on in her first couple of years at school and not being able to socialise well with others caused her to keep her distance with others and with each year this only got worse. She would often get into fights with anyone who dared to annoy or insult her. She didn’t do well academically at school and would often get into arguments with most teachers, but there was one class she somewhat tolerated and that was P.E.
Vanessa has always been quite the athletic Pine Marten and did quite well at sports, but she didn’t have an ambition for any of them, but that would change. When she was about 15, her PE teacher, Mrs Haverhill, suggested that she should give parkour a shot and, if she wanted to, she could introduce Vanessa to a local women’s parkour group. After giving it some thought, she decided to give it a go, and she was glad that she did. There were only 4 women in this group and, just like Vanessa, life hadn’t been that nice to them either, but through the challenges they sent themselves and the camaraderie they built up, they were able to feel and make positive changes in their lives. It didn't take long for Vanessa to get her head round parkour and with time she became quite the traceur and good friends with these ladies, having now got something she could call her own, no longer feeling the loneliness and aimlessness she once felt.



Ellis Noble
Species: Red Squirrel
Gender: Female
Age: 23
Height: 5ft 7 ½"
Occupation: Wildlife Ranger & Wildlife Activist
Have you ever felt you have a calling in life? Something inside you tells you that if you do this with your life you’ll have not just a net positive for yourself but the world around you? Well, this is very much the case with Ellis.

Having grown up on a farm that mostly grows wheat along with some vegetables, Ellis wasn’t the type of girl to be afraid to get her hands dirty. Ever since she was little she enjoyed doing outdoor activities, such as tending to the garden with her mother, helping her dad with some farm work and exploring the local woodland alongside her 5 other siblings. It was the woodland that showed the young squirrel what she wanted to do with her life, being amongst and helping nature.
She couldn’t put her finger on it, but something about seeing so much life in everything and the pure beauty of it all made her want to protect it and perhaps convince others to feel the same way.
As she grew older, Ellis started volunteering for the Wildlife Protection & Preservation Society, or WPPS for short at their woodland nature reserve in Fairgreen. It was in this reserve that Ellis did something quite remarkable. She managed to help a pair of Golden Orioles nest in the reserve which had not happened in the reserve for well over 70 years.
It took a lot of dedication and perseverance, but thanks to Ellis's efforts, the Golden Orioles successfully nested with all of their young surviving to young adulthood, thus making the prospect of them returning a real possibility. In thanks for her efforts, the WPPS awarded Ellis a medal for her hard work, and she was even offered a full-time job as a ranger at the Fairgreen nature reserve, which she happily accepted.



Maxwell Taft
Species: Brown Hare
Gender: Male
Age: 24
Height: 5ft 7”
Occupation: Sci-fi enthusiast and content writer

Maxwell, or Max, for short, is quite the smart hare. Having access to a computer at a young age helped him learn all sorts of things, though some he wished he hadn’t. It was thanks to this and his ability to learn things rather quickly that school was a breeze for him, at least academically. During his time at secondary school (the UK equivalent to high school), he came to decide what he wanted to do as a career, with that being a writer, and thus he put most of his focus on his English classes. After school, he would continue to improve his writing abilities through college and university so that when he left education he was prepared to start making a living with his skill. Now being a writer, there were many routes he could have taken, but the one he chose was to be a content writer. He writes fact-based articles for many websites and some of those articles are even used in YouTube videos. Max loves doing this as his job since he gets to learn and write about many things. If he is lucky, he even gets to write about sci-fi, which he is a massive fan of thus getting to write about his favourite shows, such as Doctor Who, Star Trek, etc. What Max wants most of all when it comes to his writing is to publish his own sci-fi novel, but as of late he has not been able to find a publisher.
Now, just like most guys in their twenties, he wanted a relationship, but whenever he went out with men and women around his age it didn’t seem to work out, and he thought perhaps someone a bit older than himself would work better. He met Olivia, a lynx lady in her late 30s, through a dating app. Their first date was a rather simple one, taking place at a coffee shop. They were both a bit shy and nervous since neither had gone out with someone with such an age gap, but as the two talked about their lives and careers, they got closer. The two would go on more dates and, eventually, Max would move in with Oliva, helping pay for the bills, and after a day's work, the two would snuggle together on the sofa, knowing that they were there for each other.



Olivia Silva
Species: Iberian Lynx
Gender: Female
Age: 37
Height: 5ft 11”
Occupation: Professional Wood Carver

Olivia has always been a creative lynx. Ever since she was a little girl, instead of playing with dolls or wearing princess dresses, she enjoyed making sculptures with whatever she could get her little hands on, either that be play-doh, sand, paper mache and so forth. As you might guess, when she started going to school she was very much the art kid in class. Even when she wasn’t in art class she would often doodle ideas that she would like to make on school papers, much to her teachers' chagrin. It wasn’t just art class that Olivia did very well in, because she also had a knack for design and technology, which is where she decided that woodcarving would be the sculpting art form that she wanted to pursue as a career and that she did.
She went on to get the qualifications needed for a career in woodcarving, with her even getting some awards. After training, she would work for a small carpentry company for a few years, saving any surplus money she got towards getting her a place where she could make the woodcraft she wanted independently.
When she was 28, thanks to the money she had saved and the inheritance she got from a relative, Olivia was able to get her own place, which had a sizeable garden that had a large metal shed at the far end where she could do her craft. Olivia bet on doing woodcarving as a career paid off as she was able to get a steady stream of commissions to make a living at least. Her commissions ranged in size from those of little sculptures that required whittling tools to big garden sculptures that required a chainsaw.
Although wood carving brought joy to Oliva's life, she, just like many other people, wanted a partner, someone she could rely on and be open with. She has been on many dates and has had a few relationships, but none seemed to work out. Being 37, she was at the point of giving up on a love life until she matched up with a young 24-year-old brown hare named Maxwell Taft on a dating site. She didn’t think going out with the young hare was going to work out, but to her surprise it did.
Max is a great listener and always has a ear free to listen to Olivia. Max would be there on the sofa on his laptop finishing up writing articles for the day when she would enter back into the home after a long day of wood carving. He would have a cup of tea prepared for her and would be there to snuggle with her whenever she needed to decompress.



Derrell Dancer
Species: Scottish Terrier
Gender: Male
Age: 57
Height: 5ft 6”
Occupation: CEO/Grand Confectioner of Dancer's Confections

Mr Derrell Dancer is a business executive and confectioner whose life has truly treated him well. Having a privileged background with his father being a successful owner of an almond milk, Dancer he was raised to be quite the business-minded Scottish Terrier. Although Dancer enjoyed the dealings of the business world, he didn’t much care for his father's almond milk factory and would rather spend time indulging in his hobby of making chocolates. During his early 20s, Dancer’s father passed away and so all his wealth was passed down to Dancer. Dancer had planned to close down his father’s company and start a new one which was more in line with his taste, but before he did this, Dancer went on a one-man sailing trip around the UK. It was during this trip that Dancer would get himself lost in a fog and when he finally emerged from it, he found an island uninhibited by people. He explored the island and just before he went back to the boat he fell down a hole which would lead him to a place like no other, and it was there in the sweet realm he landed in that he would meet the Ottums. After spending some time with the Ottums and learning of their realm and their ways, he made a deal with them that would lead to his new business venture, Dancer’s Confections. This new business of his would lead him to be the biggest producer of candy in the country and possibly the world.



Cassidy
Species: Ottum
Gender: Female
Age: Adult
Height: 4ft
Occupation: Worker at Dancer's Confections Factory

Cassidy's origins aren't that different from the other Ottums, having moved to the factory from the Ottum realm after the deal made with Derrell Dancer. She shares many traits typical of an Ottum, such as incredible cleverness and inquisitiveness, but lacks the carefree nature that is so common among her kind. It's due to this that she often feels like an outlier when with the other Ottums. While she is just as good at making the famous sweet treats her kind have been making since before the factory, Cassidy has aspirations that go beyond just making sweets. In her free time, when she is alone, she likes to write down and draw ideas she comes up with, always thinking of things that improve the lives of others with such ideas. Many times, Cassidy has considered leaving the factory and the Ottum realm to try and fulfill her dreams, but due to not knowing anyone outside the factory and the tales she has heard from other Ottums that have left only to return have prevented her from following through.

Fun fact about Cassidy is that, unlike other Ottums who change their hairstyles every day, she tends to keep her hair to one style and it changes rarely. She is also the only known Ottum to have a name she keeps to.
