Wow!

I'm not sure if this is a "real" green flash or just an artifact of the CCD and/or digital process. Seems like it could be either, because the camera at this point will pick up what the eye can't because of the brightness. Nowhere near the ocean but Lake Winnipeg is big enough to be classified as an inland sea. Would like to travel more, but time, energy, and circumstances are against it right now.

If I remember correctly the green flash is only visible for a brief moment at dawn when the sun just begins to rise before the sun itself becomes visible, but I've also heard it's bad luck or good luck to see it so I could be wrong.

Who would want to nuke Manitoba?!

Well... Winnipeg almost elected a communist mayor in '52... My vote is for the Dutch though. Those sneaky cheese-eating, wooden shoe wearing, door-sawing in half weirdos!

Quite the colorful, clever ...and funny lyrics! }:=)

He was a math professor at Harvard in the 50's, so quite the sharp fellah (understatement). I'd have to say my favorite tune of his is "The Masochism Tango". I saw this sketch at a con where this Klingon couple danced it up to that with all the appropriately violent mating rituals and such. It worked.

"The Masochism Tango".....you know, I think I have heard that. It would make a good background for Klingons. };=)
