
Here's another cover for the latest of Icoste's (french) audio fictions. I really feel like I do some of my best works for them- well, half of it is they just come to me with the best ideas. c:
The guy with the tentacles there in the center, I drew for the first time on another cover in.. 2020, I believe.. now they get a light redesign with more arms and more bract-like.. bracts. At first I thought I would make them adpressed like that of the plume thistle, but the day I was to draw him I took a walk, and I found a lovely american aster which I came to reference instead.
The scaries, I just went nuts with. Each one is so special! I think I prefer the one on the left, it seems to be in the best shape.

Thanks! My main idea was that those things should make some form of natural-feeling *pattern*.. the adpressed bracts are a classic look, easy to read, but the curved american aster ones were so fancy! I think they look like waves. Took a lil' bit of fussing to keep 'em readable as they should be but that's how it's gonna go.
