This final concept art is just a reference sheet for Dippy, but most of the details (such as his human disguise having a dayjob, the design/relationship with his long distance partner, and my own gender/sexuality projected onto him) were no longer canon and I ended up tossing it.
Although I tossed a lot of concepts about Dippy out, and nearly tossed Dippy out entirely, I'm so glad I didn't because he has grown on me like a benign tumor and I couldn't cut him out now <3
