Despite being on the 'same side', Zumina has little respect for Skubasti, although she keeps this largely hidden from the others. She well knows that Skubasti, effectively, caused Zumina to be made, but Zumina's alligance has always been to said creator, Minah, and her well being is the highest priority.

In Black Maw, Zumina demands Skubasti to only speak to her, and not Minah. For Minah's sake, she would do just about anything. Skubasti, however, knows that even if he kills Zumina, a golem such as herself still required a piece of Minah's own Mass to make her. Any such 'self sacrifice will cause Minah to be that much less protected. Zumina has to choose her words carefully...
