Here it is, ladies and gentlemen! The culmination of the creative works of fantastic artist Egardn and myself, the writer and creator of the story and setting, Zucca!
This is the first page of Lone Candle, a webcomic about the hard life of Aries Passadar.
The world is called Spira, the country is called Volencia and the story is called Lone Candle.

Must've been quite the sight to see, watching the bodies of your parents getting strung up and left to rot as carrion-fodder... Definitely not something that's easily forgotten, that's for sure!
For the very first page of your webcomic, I feel this tells a lot about Miss Aries Passadar, already. And with no words, too! Makes me wish I was as good at drawing as I am writing; I'd love to have my Zodiac Knights stories be made into art-from, someday...!
Can't wait to read the rest! :)

I adhere strongly to the writer’s rule of ‘show, don’t tell!’
It’s what makes my writing style good for comics, being a visual medium and all. What I can make clear through visuals rather than dialogue, I adhere to just that!
And yeah... Aries did not half an easy latter childhood.

That's a good idea, especially for visual mediums like this. As someone who mainly does story artwork both on here and on DeviantArt, I feel I should try to adhere to that standard with my stories, as well...! :)
Yep, doesn't look all that pleasant, at all... And funny, my Aries didn't have too much of a lovely childhood, either; though his troubles were more-so in the early stages of said childhood instead of the later ones...! :(

At least your Aries had plenty of time to get to know her family right there and then before they were taken away from her...
Sadly, my Aries never got to know his parents when he was a kid... Hell, he doesn't even know what his real name is; he was named Aries by his master, the previous Aries Knight, while Rothenberg is a surname he likes to use due to it reminding him of one of his earliest memories: the sight of a mountain enveloped with trees that grow red leaves...
I'm noticing a lot of similarities between both of our characters as I go on through this webcomic... Great minds think alike, huh? ^^;
