Hi guys^^
I've been writing a book for a while now. The book is still in development, but I already have the characters in mind^^
Here's the main character: Nylo, a fox in training to be a porter.
I hope you like Nylo x3
Maybe I'll publish the prologue soon. Like I said: it's still fresh and just beginning^^
The next main character is coming soon ^w^
Here's a brief introduction to the world:
It's been about 100 years since the great Sonic destroyed the world. 98% of living things on Earth were wiped out. Since then, monsters have been appearing from certain sonic zones and killing everyone they see. It's unknown why this happened. There are two theories: the first, a research accident. The second, a recoil from the Big Bang.
Name: Echo Bird (Echo Eagle, Echo Raven, Echo Crow, etc.)
Gender: Female/Male
Age: ???
General Appearance:
Appear like animals that have been distorted or destroyed by sound.
Their bodies consist half of material substance (dark fur, scales, feathers, etc.) and half of translucent resonant waves that constantly shimmer.
As if they exist within a disruptive radio signal: sometimes visible, sometimes distorted.
Details:
Body type: Human-athletic, but covered in feathers and with large wings on the back.
Head: Eagle's head with a sharp beak, glowing crystal eyes, and a half-open mouth from which pulsating rings of sound.
Arms/Hands: Powerful arms that extend into clawed hands—some frayed, as if made of sound waves.
Legs: Strong eagle legs with clawed feet, also partially crisscrossed with sound lines.
Effects: Body appears unstable, as if torn between matter and sound—shredded feathers merge into pulsating waves of sound.
Mood: Menacing flight pose, wings spread wide, with thick fog in the background, giving the appearance of a supernatural sonic being.
Echo Monsters – Victims of the Great Sound
Origin:
Before the Great Sound, they were perfectly normal furries.
The sound has torn their bodies apart, deformed them, and overloaded them with resonance. They are now prisoners of an endless frequency, half alive, half sound.
Appearance:
Their bodies consist partly of flesh, partly of transparent sound waves. Constantly flickering, pulsating, as if they don't really exist in this world. Eyes are like glowing sound crystals, in which one sometimes glimpses old memories for a few seconds. Voices = nothing more than a discordant screech.
Danger:
Their scream can be fatal! It isn't a normal sound, but a resonance overload that directly affects the body. Victims die because their organs and bones vibrate and tear. Even if they survive, they suffer permanent damage (hearing loss, shattered bones, shattered nerves).
Tragic:
Some of them still display remnants of their old behavior. A sonic wolf howling to the moon. A sonic bird circling as if by ancient instinct. But everything is distorted—their nature has been broken. Some traders or researchers claim that fragments of ancient voices, songs, or calls from the time before the Great Sound can sometimes be heard in the cries.
Variants:
Echo wolf: Pack hunters whose collective howls can tear apart an entire valley.
Echo bear: Slow, but its roar can bring down houses.
Echo bird: Plunges from the sky like a sonic missile.
Porter Report:
One of those things once circled me and attacked me with sonic bursts. The bird's screams are like a fork scraping on a plate. But with a few well-aimed shots, it vanished. I hate those things...
Porter Report 2:
Some porters have suggested that the echo bird's cries also contain words like: HELP! or LET ME GO! I find that a bit creepy.
