I did take a listen to each of these tracks you gave them. I have heard of "Black Hole Sun" by Soundgarden and I can see the connection with it with Kellie's family and backstory. The Risk of Rain 2 song for James is interesting one. Such a catchy tune and for some reason the intro of that one made me think of Super Mario 64's Dry Dry Desert theme. Now as for the one for Lyla, I honestly never heard of MGMT before, but after listening to it for a bit, I can see the connection with Lyla and her nightmare. The song gives that omnious vibe of "what is going on?" and "why is this happening"? I will say that when I was reading the book, after going through chapter 17, I couldn't help but think of the song "Will Power" from Persona 5.

Oh yeah, when I first found your channel here, I noticed that you mentioned it was a possible game out of the story. A New Life would probably be neat as a game, but you might have made a better call as a book. I will say I am curious how it would have panned out as a game. I can definetely see gameplay going with what happens later in the story as well as the animal instincts the characters have.

at first, A New Life: The Facility was actually a short Kickstarter Demo for the game, would've played like Mario & Luigi. ANL: Imperfect Creations, is the remnants of the main game. :) which was more action focused. though w/ how it is as a book, it's not so much anymore. You would've been able to combine certain altereds powers to make new moves kinda like what happens at the end of The Facility

Oh that is interesting, I can kinda picture it in my head with Lyla walking around with James behind her or switching out with Kellie. I can see them walking around the facility talking to others and then after they escape would be the main battles. Is Imperfect Creations what is going to be the second book? From how The Facility ended, I can definetly see it getting more actoin packed and the possibility of the trio learning more about their new forms and conditions that some of them have that others do not.

Yep! can't say much, but the title of the sequel is called "A New Life: Imperfect Creations"

Oh, what I meant by that is just learning more about what they can do. Like how Lyla can play dead and hang from trees with her tail, James can turn invisibile and Kellie being able to run on all fours. Also the whole superpower things and trying to get the hang of those too. I guess I am not too good with wording. Sorry about the confusion.
