My final piece for the Eurofurence 29 Artshow! And my goodness was this one both very fun as well as intimidating to work on!
I really wanted to continue with the whole 'draw backgrounds, you coward', so what started as just a momcat and her kitten standing in rain evolved to more environmental storytelling, with an oldfashioned candyshop window and cobblestones and rainpuddles, my goodness. Especially that window was very challenging, and I had to really trust the process on that one.
In the end, I'm very happy I managed to push through, and this has definitely grown to be my absolute favourite piece in the history of all my art, pretty much. Inspired by pretty much all of the illustrators of my childhood, I'm eager to keep pushing myself like this <3
I hope you'll love this piece as much as I loved painting it, and I hope these two get to go to a loving home <3
