The world is everchanging, that is its nature. The longer one lives the more they witness and go through these changes. You move from place to place, have people come into and go out of your life, find and enjoy new experiences. Dragons live a particularly long life and thus witness much of this change, willingly or not.
Fallan has been around water for a long portion of his life. From the flowing water in the underwater palace he grew up in, to the sounds of waves from his long stay in Erodale’s wharf. It subconsciously became a calming sound to him, associated with tranquility and home. A subtle reminder that some things stay regardless of change.
No longer fitting in most places at his full size, Fallan finds himself wandering often. Here he has come across a large waterfall and had that reminiscent feeling wash over him. Carefully, he laid down across the hillside and slowly drifted to sleep with the warmth of the sun coating his body. Dreaming of his life at his old residences, friends he met there who are long gone, food he would enjoy, activities he’d enjoy.
I’ve recently gone through a big move in my life. New state, new type of job, new lifestyle. I don’t know why I kinda latched these feelings onto this piece with this idea but it just feels kinda right you know? Despite such a big change in life I still have those little things in life that make me happy.
