PANDALUNCA - Commission (Panda/Dragon hybrid)
- COMMISSION -
Reference sheet of PANDALUNCA: an original species! A PANLUNADRA is an hybrid of a dragon and a panda! I loved working on it!
The PANLUNADRAS were created in 2142, following a secret government program aimed at improving inter-species genetic manipulation. Fruits of the union between the peaceful wisdom of the panda and the majesty of the dragon, the PANLUNADRAS embody the last vestiges of a vanished humanity, mixing Earth DNA and extinct creatures belonging to the world of yesteryear. They maintain a close connection with the moon: a vector both spiritual and necessary for their vital needs, the rays bathe them in its nourishing light, just as humans depended on the sun to maintain their existence. The PANLUNADRAS represent 30% of the remaining species on Earth, taking full advantage of the disappearance of Man to prosper.
The PANLUNADRAS lead a life deeply influenced by nature, to which they remain connected in every aspect of their culture. They live in close-knit family clans, settled in bioluminescent bamboo forests whose light illuminates their nights, as well as in natural caves that they carefully create.
Bamboo plays a central role in their daily lives: not only is it one of their main foods, along with trout, but it is also a precious material used in crafts, architecture, and even rituals.
Their society is based on an egalitarian organization, where decisions are made collectively, ensuring clan cohesion. Each individual bears a lunar symbol inscribed on their body; this sign marks both their membership in the tribe and their role within it.
Their life cycle is closely linked to the stars: reproduction only occurs during full moons. In winter, the PANLUNADRAS enter a prolonged rest, akin to hibernation, as they cannot tolerate the cold well and retreat into their protective caves.
The lunar phases directly influence their mood and energy. During the waxing moon, they are active, creative, and sociable, while during the waning moon, they become calmer, more contemplative, and inclined toward introspection.
