The fifth girl in Tails' harem and first extra. Let this get out way, she wasn't part of the original harem because she doesn't have a Sonic. Tails' harem was designed to parallel Sonic's harem. Since she doesn't anyone to be a Sonic to her, she wasn't even considered to be in the original game. However, when I decided to add more to the harem, I knew Cosmo had to be the first pick for Tails. Even if I have to break the Sonic harem rule. Also, the rule about me liking the ship is the most important and I will never break it. (I will explain more in a later post.)
So, maybe asking, why put Cosmo in Sally's group? No real reason. She just fits better with her. There is no theme with them. You can up one, just remember I have no theme in mind for the SATAM X girls.
Too many girls of Tails' harem are shy in some shape or form. Cosmo, written to be bold. Since I want one girl who isn't shy. Maybe her boldness comes from Sally, or it comes from Galaxina. Maybe she got it from her mother. The point is, she is bold pre-dating and during dating.

I would like to state again that while Sally is more famously known in the Archie series of comics since that's where a majority of her appearances come from, she did appear in the first ever Sonic Cartoon which is listed on a website known as "wco.tv" as "Sonic the Hedgehog TV Series" but everyone I've heard mention it calls it "Sonic SATAM" affectionately. Therefore, one could make the argument that Cosmo is technically the Tails to Sally since Cosmo appeared in Sonic X.
Well, technically yes. But it had to canonically no. The canon is the most part. It is not on the same level as Amy & Cream, Blaze & Marine, Tangle & Whisper, or Lilac & Milla. Unless they shared screentime/page, it doesn't count.
It's called Sonic SATAM because it's the second show, and the first one was still airing. Since both shows have the same name, and SatAM comes on Saturday mornings, that's how the name was born.
