My friend Duck-hawk's (http://duck-hawk.deviantart.com/) falconry bird, a red-tailed hawk (Buteo jamaicensis) named Gambit. I hope I did him justice!
And awesome info from Duck-hawk! Also in case anyone is wondering those little booties on his legs are, they are squirrel chaps to protect his feet from bites, the little grey diamonds are shiny and attract the squirrel's attention. He also has on bells for me to hear.
I haven't talked with watercolors in a while, but thought it would be a nice break from digital. This is 4" x 6" and I am in no way a master of the medium.
