So, this is a random one. This seal has no name, little to no dialogue, and nothing to even distinguish them from other seals. Calling them an extra might be generous. But honestly? I just feel bad for them and the other sea creatures. They get enslaved by a vain, tyrannical siren for who knows how long, finally get to be free, and are so happy… and then get entranced again and sent after the protagonists as an angry mob. Most of them end up free, but the rest, sadly, are still stuck with her. I really can’t explain why I got attached to this seal or the rest of them; I just want them to have a happy ending.
And of course, a better master.

The seal squinted her eyes as she turned over a seashell in her flipper, closely examining it. Light, no cracks, durable-looking…
Perfect!
The seal broke into a grin as she turned to a dolphin in the distance. “I found a good one!”
“Yay!” he cheered, clapping his flippers. “Ready to play?”
“You know it!” the seal giggled, swimming towards her friend.
Sometimes, it was kinda hard to believe how much their lives had improved since that day they were freed from that sea witch. Admittedly, it got off to a rough start; one moment, they were celebrating by smashing everything in the queendom they could… then her singing reached their ears, and the next thing any of them knew, they were in the middle of the sea, dazed, confused, and armed with everything from knives to hammers.
They immediately booked it.
Lucky for them they knew a place Darya never went or sent anyone. It beat them why; this island (and more importantly, the water around it) was so pretty! And the only other person here was a really nice little brown fox. They’d nicknamed her Kelpy; it probably wasn’t her actual name, but the poor girl couldn’t remember anything, including her name, and they’d had to call her something!
Maybe Darya just hated foxes? …Eh, who cared. They didn’t have to deal with the siren anymore! Now it was just them, Kelpy, and having fun with whatever junk they found in the ocean!
Like the fishing net they’d tied to some tall rocks and made into a makeshift volleyball net.
The seal stopped on her side of the net, balanced the shell on her nose, bopped it higher into the water, and hit it with her flipper. The dolphin hit it back with his nose, and from there, their game took off, both happily swimming back and forth, hitting the shell between them as quickly as they could. Soon enough, they were tied, one point left for the win. The dolphin tossed up the ball, whirled around, and gleefully smacked it with his tail. The seal yelped as it zipped by her…
And straight into the crabs’ poker game.
“Hey! Watch where you’re hitting those!” the crab angrily complained, glaring at them as he picked up the cards that had been knocked from his claws, face-up.
One of the other crabs looked at the fallen cards. “A royal flush?! Fold.”
“Wha- You can’t fold now!” The first crab protested. “You know what hand I have, how is that fair?!”
“What am I supposed to do? I can’t unsee the cards!”
“Then pretend you didn’t see them!”
“And lose money? No thanks. Can’t you just put the cards back, get a different hand?”
“IT’S A ROYAL FLUSH! Nothing’s going to beat that!”
“I mean, you might be able to draw another?”
“No one’s that lucky!”
The dolphin could only watch sheepishly as the crabs continued to argue. “Um… sorry?”
“GUYS!”
The argument ground to a halt as an excited turtle swam up to them. “I found a sunken ship! You know what that means!”
“Treasure!” one of the crabs yelled, eyes glittering with anticipation.
“Life preservers!” the seal grinned excitedly. They were so much fun to play with…
“Skeletons!” an octopus called.
The other sea creatures just stared.
“What?” the octopus huffed defensively, crossing two of his tentacles. “You know I want to make music. I live underwater, what else am I supposed to use to make instruments? The turtles won’t let me drum on their shells anymore!”
“That’s because it was incredibly annoying, and sounded terrible,” the turtle said flatly.
“Bah! You’ve been spoiled by Darya! Nothing’s going to sound as good as music that literally entrances people!” the octopus growled.
“Anyways, we’ve all got something we want to find! Some more morbid than others,” the turtle added, giving the octopus a side-eye. “So let’s go explore!”
The turtle received a chorus of cheers and a glare from the octopus, and the sea creatures took off. The seal was about to swim after her friends, when a pair of shimmering lights at the surface caught her eye. The sea creature squinted; something about them demanded a closer look.
She swam towards the lights, and the closer she got, the more she wanted to see; the rainbow glow felt good to watch. Every ripple of color left her feeling warm and fuzzy, every shine and sparkle sent tingles down her spine. Everything else seemed more and more distant… even her thoughts seemed to float out of sight, leaving more and more room for the colors to fill. It was downright hypnotic, the way they danced about in the water…
…Wait…. Hypnotic?
Fuzzy memories of a quill being placed in her flipper, sleepily signing a contract as a lovely melody filled her ears came to mind, and the seal, suddenly much more awake, frantically tried to tear her eyes away. She wasn’t dealing with this again!
But try as she might, she couldn’t look away, and her thoughts only seemed to drift farther as the lights, and the snake they were attached to, came closer. The snake swam to her, beautiful eyes flooding her vision with color, and the seal shivered in bliss as a scaly tail stroked her back. The serpent gave her a reassuring smile, and nuzzled her nose, earning a blush from the spiral-eyed seal. He was so nice…
The snake moved his head, and the seal had to follow suit; she didn’t want the colors to leave her sight. The serpent twisted and turned, and with a silly smile spreading across her face, the seal mimicked the motion. Soon enough, she was following him back to the shore, rising up on her tail as the snake raised his head into the air. The snake shook himself off, and the seal followed suit, earning a chuckle from the snake. The seal’s smile only grew wider at the sound; it felt so nice knowing she was making the handsome snake happy. A sway of the snake’s body, a gentle nudge of a scaly tail, and the seal was swinging her hips as best she could. His tail wrapped around her, smooth scales brushing across her skin and making her bark in delight.
The snake lowered her into a dip, scaly lips giving hers a quick peck, and the seal deliriously giggled. He spun with her, eyes never leaving hers as more and more of his body wrapped around his catch. It wasn’t long before she was coiled, and that’s when the real pleasure began. The spellbound seal moaned as the coils shifted and squeezed, panting with pleasure as the snake’s tail scratched her behind the ear. Eyes spiraling, tail wagging and splashing beneath her, tongue dangling from a silly smile; the seal was in heaven, and she never wanted it to end.
Her captor leaned in close as he began to speak, every silky syllable slipping into her empty head. “That’sssss a good girl… ssssoft, ssssnuggly and sssso happy to ssstare into the ssspiralsss. It feelssss wonderful to be sssso relaxsssed, sssso carefree… and why ssshouldn’t you be? You’re perfectly ssssafe with me. There’ssss no need to worry, or even think… I’ll take care of all that for you. All you have to do is be your cute, lovable, and obedient self, like a good pet should… and you ARE a pet, happy to serve your beloved Master Kaa with all that you have. You’ll be cherisssshed, my pet, in coilsss and colorssss, and you’ll love every ssssecond of your time with me… and you’d NEVER think of disssobeying… not when pleasssing me makesss you ssssso happy.”
The little seal was practically drooling as she frantically nodded. “I’m a good girl, cute, lovable, and obedient! I want to be a good pet for my master; I’ll do anything I can to serve! I’ll be the best pet ever!”
Kaa leaned in close with a smirk, and gave his spiral-eyed seal the deepest kiss he could. The seal’s eyes bugged out as the snake practically swallowed her tongue. With a bright red blush spreading across her cheeks, and a PING! echoing in her head, the seal gleefully returned the kiss, moaning into her master’s mouth as their tongues intertwined. The snake leaned her back into a dip as their kiss continued, his tail stroking her between the ears. Finally, they broke away for breath, the seal flopping into the water as the two began to pant.
“Well now… sssssomeone’sssss quite the eager kissssser,” Kaa chuckled as he caught his breath. “Ssssee now how sssssilly all that resssissstancssse wassss, my ssssweet little ssseal?”
“Yep! Sorry for all the struggle, Master; you’re way nicer than my old one!” the seal chirped.
“You had a masssster before me?” Kaa asked in surprise. Having a pet who’d been controlled before was hardly a first, but somehow it always managed to surprise him.
“Mistress is what she liked to be called. Mistress Darya,” the seal replied with a scowl. “She put me and a bunch of other sea creatures in trances and made us sign these magic contracts that forced us to do what she said. We couldn’t go against her orders, we had thoughts that weren’t ours making us do things like gather treasure for her or build her a tower, we couldn’t always control ourselves… and all she cared about was herself and her dumb war against the quetz.”
“Sssssshe ssssoundssss… unpleasssssant, to ssssay the leassst,” Kaa said, wincing.
“Best day of our lives when that dragon and quetz couple destroyed all the contracts,” the seal nodded solemnly. “And even after that, she hypnotized us into trying to kill them! Pretty sure she’s still out there, too…”
The seal shuddered, and Kaa gave his pet some reassuring pats with his tail… only to pause as a thought occurred to him.
“...Thisssss couple you mentioned… by any chancsssse, were their names Brand and Saida?” he asked.
“I’m pretty sure! How did you know?” the seal asked, surprise.
“I’ve met them mysssself, and made them into petsssss,” Kaa replied with a smirk. “I don’t ssssupposssse you have an isssssue with the two feeling all the blissssss and relaxsssssation you are, now?”
“Not at all! I’m happy for them!” the seal grinned. “Could you give them a message from us? Let them know it meant a lot when they freed us. We really appreciated it!”
“Of courssssse, my pet. It cssssertainly sssssoundssss like they did you a great sssservicssse,” Kaa replied, smiling as he used his tail to give his pet a scratch behind the ear. Really, if he ever ran into that Darya woman, he’d have to give her a piece of his mind… or more likely, take away hers. “After all there’sssss nothing to worry about, now, issss there? You’re not sssstuck sssserving her any more. Resssst asssssured, Masssster would never do any of that to you. I’m perfectly content leaving you to your own devicsssesss, free to live your life assss you pleassse. Any work I have you do, I’ll ensssure you enjoy, losssst in the blisss of obediencssse; and it wouldn’t be much work. Really, the mosssst I’d likely have you do issss lure new petssss for me to play with oncssse in a while… ssssomething you’d be happy to do anywayssss, wouldn’t you, my sssssilly sssseal?”
The seal looked at him with an eager grin, tail wagging and eyes swirling as she gave her reply. “Of course, Master! I’ll bring you any cutie you want!”
“Good girl!” Kaa cheered, giving his seal a nuzzle. “Now, sssspeaking of cutiesssss… would thisssss one care for another kissssss?”
The ensuing squeal of joy was all the answer he needed.
And of course, a better master.
