So for context, I remember back in 2018 ish I read this GDW ship fic that was an AU where Kaibutsu was never mutated. Instead he and Jerome were guard dogs living on a farm together and were lovers (Kaibutsu’s name was also just Kai in this because an ordinary non-mutated dog wouldn’t be named the Japanese word for “monster”).

I can no longer find the fic nowadays (pretty sure it was on Tumblr), but somehow the concept still stuck with me so I drew something based on it.

And yes I legitimately ship Jerome x Kaibutsu in its own twisted way, AU AND canon wise. Freaking Tumblr and its love for toxic yaoi rubbing off on me 💀
