A Trap that all it does it make your tail big. Its as simple as that. What were you expecting something more? I guess Pokémon without tails now have Squirtle Tails. This isn't really a curse tbh, is is much more of a blessing (plus it cannot be cleansed). There are no downsides.
This trap combined with a Tail-Maw Trap trap could probably be bad, i doubt bag items would be enough to satiate a giant tail maw.
