Esbat is a holiday from my religion, happening once every lunar cycle.

1 cup butter
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup chopped walnuts
.25 cups granulated sugar
Powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1. Preheat oven to 325F. Cream butter and add flour, walnuts, granulated sugar, and vanilla.
2. Shape dough into two dozen crescents.
3. Put on baking sheets and bake in oven for 20 minutes or until cookies are beginning to turn brown on bottom.
4. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
