Watching Angel color and background this piece from its pencil version was really, really neat-o. His comic book style is spectacular. I told him to "do whatever" with the background and this is what he decided to go with.
"Eld-rick! NO. That's a BAD dragon. Bad, bad, BAD dragon. We don't smash and destroy villages! Badddd."
(NOTE FROM THE FUTURE: This is the "legacy" version of Eldrikke, when he was a green dragon. Nowadays he's a red dragon named "Eld." You can say he's had a makeover!)
