But yeah, Dr. Strix is kind of a huge deal in the Agency, wouldn't be where it is without him. He invented & revolutionized a lot of magic tech.

'Strix' is the Latin name for owls btw, Strigidae. Originally i planned on calling him Vex, but naming the sadistic scientist the Latin name for 'torture' seemed a tad on the nose. I've been going through my inspiration checklist for him, he was actually based on an ooooold OC of mine called Morbus (no relation to the world's greatest meme, lol).

"Morbus" is just the Latin word for disease or illness. He looked a lot like Strix, skinny, tall, long black hair, general goth look. He could turn himself into smoke and absorb organic matter (aka people) that way. I think the base idea was that he was a virus that gained sentience or something...
