Very basic reference image I made a while ago for my sona.
I should probably get around to drawing him *doing* something some time lmao.
Don't bully him, he's only 6 feet tall (at the withers) and in his early twenties - not a huge, ancient demigod. He is just some guy, and he is just like me for real.
I've had thoughts about creating a red dragon sona for a few years now, and have had the name "Aralekh" for two years, but I haven't made a serious attempt at drawing until this year. I have earlier designs of him as a black-and-red dragon, but I didn't like how those ones turned out. I am quite fond of the red-brown-white design now though.
I'll probably also have to make a more general account for furry stuff... Aralekh is meant to be from a culture in the setting I'm working on (Arani), but he's not actually a character in the story that I'll never get around to writing. It would seem weird to have him there among the lore dumps and so on, which is why he's in scraps for now.
The text on the right includes his name in the Kirasic script, which is pretty unoriginal because it's based on a variety of archaic Greek letters. The Arani language doesn't have a writing system of its own, and I intend to write a lot about how transcribing a draconic language with a writing system developed for a human language creates problems. Where are the letters for the five different growl-based phonemes?
The main reason I haven't made a second account already is because I have no idea what to call it (and I would only have this one image to post).
If fate is kind he will be on this website by this time next year doing unspeakable things... well, extremely vanilla by the standards of this site ;)
