Bubsy: You think you've hit rock bottom? Take it from me, buddy, I know a thing or two about spinning my wheels & going nowhere. My career practically died three times by now. But here I am; getting older, but chasing that old dream. So trust me, kid; if I can make it, anyone can.

Bubsy 4D is so...fascinating when you look at it. Bubsy has been the Internet's punching bag for years now & I'm not ashamed to admit that I've been one of his haters. And with Atari leaning into the meme & effectively making Bubsy as annoying as possible, I figured that he was just gonna be an bad joke until Atari either shut down or the joke runs its course.

Then I saw the trailer dropped.

We live in wild times to see Banjo, Spyro, and Crash in limbo, but Bubsy of all mascots is getting a new game. But unlike the other modern Bubsy games, this one looks...decent. There's some genuine energy behind Bubsy's new persona. He doesn't come across as a try hard who doesn't realize the joke is at his expense (we're not laughing with you Bubsy, we're laughing at you). No, he sounds...

Well, honestly, he sounds like a washed-up celebrity who never made it big, but is gonna keep up the grind. They even ditched his iconic shirt for the jacked & tie look, almost as if he's shedding his old persona for something different. There's something genuine in this that, honestly, Bubsy's more successful counterparts haven't had in a long time.

IDK. That's just how I feel 'bout the trailer. Who knows if this game will deliver or not. But I find myself hoping that Bubsy lands on his feet this time.
