uh... there IS a tyranid mod underway for DoW, it looks rather good.
i read the firewarrior novel befor hitting the game... i can't remeber, in the game DO you fight a dreadnaught like he does in the book?
oh and how do you beat the final boss? in the book that space marine is with you and Kais just needs to destroy the shrines... but you place bombs on the shrines to get the boss to appear....

GW and relic announced some time ago, cuz the DoW would not support an race like the Tyranids, so the engine must be changed, so that the Tyranids could be played.
I mean, tyranids don't have an bloody interest in control points, they only want to eat.
That was the major fault with the Tyranid mod for DoW. A tyranid with a banner? And it puts the banner into the control point? Where did it get that banner, and why does it care about a control point? It should go and eat some fresh imperial soldiers.^^

I will not kill you for such blasphemy, but you are now on my list of not so cool things. The zerg are a complete rip off of the 40k Tyranids, and anyone who claims they AREN'T gets purged by the Inquisition for heresy. I Force Choked some people when they argued that Dawn of War was "ZOMG TOTALLY RIPPING OFF STAR CRAFT" despite that fact that... y'know... 40k has existed since before Starcraft was a twinkle in Blizzard's eye.
