Taur Pride! (feat. Pia from Addictive Science)
Are people treating you poorly because you have four on the floor? Are they calling you an animal because most of you looks like it? Worry not, because it's not you who's wrong. There's nothing wrong with being a taur! They just don't understand that other than having a bit more body, you aren't so different from them. So what moves them to mistreat you? Delusions of purity? Jealously? Who knows. But all that really counts is that they don't know what they're missing. More legs to roam around, more body to hug, and more of you that can love another and get love in return. Don't let them get you down, be proud of who you are, be proud being a taur!
Pia belongs to

cervelet's "Addictive Science" comic series, where we see a young Pia being treated poorly by her peers for being the only taur they know, until an unexpected figure came into her life and changed everything...

Being a taur sounds really fun.
But I wondered a while ago, how would my life be different? If I was a taur and most people were still bipeds. Even if people treated me nicely, I think the differences in how I would have to navigate the world makes it problematic.
Clothing would likely all be custom. Footwear would also be custom. Clothing and footwear is needed for industrial jobs and tradesworkers (what DO steel-toe shoes look like for a taur?).
Cars, planes, and buses would need a different strategy or significant redesigns to use comfortably. I'm sure there's other things I can't think of now.
My thought is that I want to be a taur, but that if I was a taur in a biped world, it would not always be fun. Even if I had thick skin regarding other's opinions. I'm glad Pia's story has a nice conclusion.
