A high-ranking guildsman who's never really felt good about himself, no matter how much money he's made or how much he's owned is kicked out of his guild as part of a hostile takeover. Now penniless, he eats his shame and gets a low-level job in one of his own facilities, one that's staffed primarily by Goblin ladies.
As he works there though, he finds himself relating to his new co-workers more than he would have ever expected, and even starting to regret his actions as a boss. Gradually, he starts to befriend some of his new co-workers, finding them to be much better company than any of the nobles or burghers he used to socialize with.
One of his new Goblin friends even letting him stay at their places as he gets back on his feet, and as time passes "he" slowly starts to become more of a Goblin than a Human. And more girly too.
She even starts to realize some things about herself, like she might be trans, and that she likes being a Goblin.
Soon enough as she comes more into her own, she starts to empathize with the plight of the workers more and more, joining the union and becoming quite the active member. And after not that much time at all, she and her union sisters successfully seize the means of production and turn the business into a coop where everyone is treated fairly.
