Ganymede was the first of the Drones developed to assist Jupiter, designed for a simple practical task, help Jupiter move around equipment when it's time to set up ambushes or observation posts to gather intel, but most importantly help Jupiter set up all the equipment expecially in the case of turrets and the remote ATGM launcher, it can also perfom minor engineering tasks thanks to it's robust servo arm.
