Winter is a season that requires special preparation. Shasta knows this very well, and with the proper planning it can be a very pleasant, beautiful time of year!
Shasta's preparation involves putting on a little bit of winter weight! The extra chub ensures that she will be plenty warm! Warm enough to take a nice fireside nap outside in the snow, even at night! It is the most serene time of year to relax and let the chill vibes wash right through her.
Shasta's connection with nature is not hindered one bit by the cold and the snow. Even as she naps, flowers bloom around her out of season wherever the warmth radiating from her can melt the snow to let them though. Woodland critters immediately recognize her as a place of comfort and safety, protected from the elements. She shares the gift of a cozy sanctuary on a cold and harsh winter night with all those around her.
And it looks like someone left her a gift! A tall, warm mug of hot cocoa waits for her whenever she decides to stir from her rest. She insists that the people around her are far too nice to her for their little favors and gifts like this, but it only encourages them to do it more. Or at least more secretly so that she can't complain about it! But she will assure anyone that she LOVES tasty little offerings like this more than anything in the world! And she strives to return the kindness she receives at every opportunity!
But for now, she is perfectly happy and content to bask in the unique beauty and pleasure that only Winter can provide, eagerly sharing that joy with all the good critters that come her way.
